Satan

Honestly I don't know why people are so surprised by these things. From all the teachings I've read about and things I've seen on tv this is all part of our nearing the end. They will obliterate God from our lives completely before his return. And when he returns I hope all the nay sayers are prepared to meet what befalls them.

I don't pay much attention to this, but here is the President's proclamation of prayer. It sounds good to me, he's certainly a religious man, is using the word 'God' mandatory?

Just looked at Marci's video, seems this is just political nonsense, a lot to do about nothing, not all Americans in 2021 worry about using the word God. That's all I have to say, won't get into politics on this board.

Religion should not be mixed with politics. Not everyone believes as I do that a Supreme Power exists and I respect that.

In that vein therefore, it is rather presumptuous to expect one size fits all when it comes to a prayer especially when it involves a melting pot of citizens.

If you're saying a prayer and you omit God's name who else you praying to? A door?
Similar to schools and thier "Moment of Silence" or such to begin each day. Self reflection of life, religious beliefs, ask for peace in the world, etc. Each in his own tongue, as the Poet said. Although the word GOD has been deemed secular, if it is omitted from a text presentation, it becomes more of a personal devotion than collective.

I respect Dana's position, and I am reminded that the entity that we call God has no name, and at the same time many names. President Biden was respecting all faiths with his prayer.

Just heard on the news,It's the National Day of Prayer. The now president omited the word "God" from the National prayer.
So, Who exactly are they praying to?
Who are the praying to? Mammon. In the New Testament of the Bible, Mammon is commonly thought to mean money, material wealth, or any entity that promises wealth, and is associated with the greedy pursuit of gain. The Gospel of Matthew and the Gospel of Luke both quote Jesus using the word in a phrase often rendered in English as: "You cannot serve both God and mammon."
