Over 200 Children's Bodies Found At Old Indigenous People's School In Canada

Saw articles where they said disease like TB killed alot around 100 years ago. But why the cover up or disappear so many. But then again if there were abusers in there they would want to cover it up. What's stunning this program/school actually peaked out in the 1950s averaging 500 students a year. 1969 was the last official year for the school.

If there is any staff, administrators or policy makers that was there when a child disappeared, died or was abused I hope they sue the crap out of them. I don't care if they have to be wheeled in court with an O2 tank. Just like these priests or Sandusky types.

I caught this on the news last night.

Reminded me of the St. Joseph's Catholic Orphanage.

If the hiearchy of the/local church abused their students, alter boys etc in a local neighborhood setting I shudder to think what they did in an orphanage away from society. This is an example of why they fought so hard to cover these incidents up. But they were all over not just one location and the church knew that.

Me, too, WhatInThe.

I happened upon this article last fall, and was sickened to the bone by it.

Horrific news concerning our indigenous (natives).
There was an orphanage in the place my husband lived that got shut down for the same reasons. Many arrests were made and rightly so.

It’s truly disheartening knowing these kids are not only not loved, but abused in so many ways. How could this type behaviour ever be acceptable and why didn’t anyone step in? To think of all the people who knew this was happening and did nothing is so shameful to our very species. This wasn’t all that long ago. Do we really live in a civilized society with this type of thing happening and getting brushed under the carpet?
Not really looking for an answer.

When I read about this a couple of days ago, I found it so unbelievable, I thought someone got the story wrong.

But you would not fight back to save your own kids????? By any means possible???
Thats my point....
One of the problems with why and how these kids got abused was because they didn’t have loving parents to care and protect them.

At a regular school parents and teachers usually interact. There would be signs of abuse and the parents would bond together and make a move to catch these sadists like calling the police. Here we are taught not to take the law into our own hands but there is strength in numbers.

The very fact that these children had nobody to care and love them is probably the saddest part because if they did this could never have happened. Its hauntingly sad.

Another outrageous thing is that our governments excuse for not doing anything is that they didn’t know where else to place these kids. There some much to say but it’s political.

One possible explanation of the deaths was natural diseases - polio, smallpox, scarlet fever. Also because of sexual abuse, lack of caring, etc. These schools were nightmares, even if the original intent was theoretically for good intentions.

The other day I couldn’t read this due to it not opening. Tonight I could. This is horrific. These poor kids. It’s good that many of them got the justice they deserved.
One of the unfortunate things is that some crimes can’t be prosecuted after a certain amount of time. Here in Canada there is no time limit as to when you can prosecute and / or sue for sexual abuse.

I can't describe the seething anger I harvest deep inside of me knowing how those children and babies were treated. Pure sickening evil.
