Has Anyone Gone Shopping or in a Business Without A Mask?

I was pleasantly surprised when I got to Lucky's supermarket tonight and they had a sign on the door that said "CDC guidelines allows those who have been fully vaccinated can enter without a mask" I had my mask in my hand and put it in my purse and went in. About half of the customers did not have a mask and the other half were wearing masks. I felt okay for the most part and did my shopping. When I got to the checkout people were very close to me without a mask and talking a mile a minute and I got a bit nervous. So I tried to get a distance between us and paid for my stuff and left. I was glad to not have to wear a mask, I felt kind of free. Ohio reversed the mask mandate on June2.

Our area has seen minimal impact from this virus, and most business stopped their mask mandates in early May. We went to our favorite casino a few days ago, and even that place has put masks as "optional". There was a big push for vaccinations here in Jan. thru April, and the vast majority of adults got the shots. Now, the primary risk seems to be in the bigger cities, among those who are not vaccinated.

Metro Transit still requires passengers to wear masks on the buses. However, a few now are not wearing them. In fact, yesterday a driver did not wear one.

Went shopping at Target this afternoon and there were quite a few customers who did not wear one.

As for me, I'm not taking any chances. Am still wearing a mask as it prevents transmission of germs and protects against seasonal allergies.

That casino sounds like a lot of fun, something I'd like to do too!

Yes, the bank I go to still requires them and the Vet I went to today required one. It was strange tho because the Vets mask kept falling down below his nose--I think he needed a new or better one!

While I'm shopping I wear mine a bit low so my breathing isn't hampered, but I pull it back up when someone enters the isle. Honestly, I'm just being courteous.

Yes. This past week I went to Wal Mart. I walked in with a mask on. Literally no one was wearing one except the employees and they were wearing theirs off their noses. I thought screw this, and took mine off too.

That's the way I always go shopping, with no mask.
Why would anyone wear a mask that restricts their breathing to go shopping?
It wouldn't make any sense.
Neither does putting poison in your body, but some people think that doing so protects them.

I stopped wearing a mask outside when almost everyone else stopped.
I'll continue wearing a mask in stores until at least half of the shoppers aren't wearing one. I don't like to make people nervous.

I'm fully vaccinated too, but still wear my mask while out. It's a really good one, so when I'm close to someone whose just farted, I don't smell a thing. Me and 'Maskie' are inseparable.

Masks are required inside here...as of yet there has been no mandate to say that masks are not required inside even those who have been vaccinated, altho' anyone with a medical issue can continue to go without one...

For the most part, here in my area, we have been allowed to make a choice when entering a public place, like grocery stores, if fully vaccinated.

I don't wear a mask going into stores (e.g., hardware, supermarket, etc.) around here and neither do most people. A few places still require masks so I just don't patronize those stores. Masks are their hangup, not mine.
