Charlton Heston 1923-2008

I remember Charlton Heston in a movie called Diamond Head. I don't think it had many good reviews but my girlfriend and I cut school to see it in New York City in the early 60s.
We both loved him and really enjoyed the movie.

Chairman of NRA for years-I will give up my gun,
'when they pry it from my cold, dead hands.'

(a statement that was a bit overboard, but i lean that way)
I can still see him standing in front of an NRA meeting saying that. Anyone remember when he and a few other actors were sitting side by side at some place in a T V station each expressing their version of, "My frog is dead?" The line had come from Heston's wife at home when he told them that she had cried, "My frog is dead!"
