Transgender woman wins Miss Nevada crown

It's my understanding that a "Transgender" has had surgeries (partial or complete) to try to be the other.......uh......thing.
You mean the other sex? I have no desire to be transgender in a sexual way, but having a ***** or a tube to pee through would certainly be more conveient in certain circumstances. Once, I had to wear a urine bag for a month for collection purposes. This was before all the laws were passed.

Anyway, I wasn’t home when I had to empty some of it out or overflow and did so in the lady’s room. Next thing I know the manager is banging on the door to the stall telling me to get out of the lady’s room as someone saw/heard me “peeing“ standing up, and thought I was a man or worst I suppose.

😂😂😂😂

Why do men have a problem with the word *****? And, while I am thinking about it, why do woman have a problem with the word breast? 🤦🏻‍♀️

Self conscious probably.

Always check for the laryngeal prominence except if the party in question has had a chondrolaryngoplasty performed. Otherwise it's a dead giveaway. I feared to say Adams apple and thyroid cartilage reduction so I went medical, saves time, embarrassment, lawsuits and felonious violation of the Political Correctness Statute.

Why do people get so polarized over most things of a sexual nature anyway? All of us got here, I think, because two people had sex. And why are there so many complaints and concerns about men in women’s restrooms? In my experience man don’t talk to and in as much as is possible, they try not to even look at anyone in a restroom. I think that one should use the facilities for which they are dressed. If one is in a stall, with the door closed, answering nature’s call, then why all the hoopla? If a woman were to use the urinal next to me, I don’t think I’d be bothered because I don’t use restrooms as a meeting place.

anyone can say God wants things to be the way you want them, which proves nothing.
Exactly.
A lot of hate is justified by trying to say that is what God thinks / God wants/ God commands etc. So who really knows WHAT God wants? Moses had to have God write the 10 commandments down on stone tablets in person.
How about Jesus? Bible 2.0(ie: The New Testament) is based on God's updated views and wishes, and is conveyed to Humankind via his son, Jesus. Jesus did not preach hate, the Old Testament is relevant as a historical reference, God's word is Jesus' words.

True story, I'm just addressing this issue for those that think / believe in this fashion.
Understood and appreciated but if we all continue to think and believe as we always have then we’re going to end up in the same situation, it seems, time after time. Maybe if we could agree to see things in a different light we could take the world in a different direction. For me at least, I have a hard time believing that the world we have all helped to create would be the best we can do. If we all pulled together instead of tearing each other apart, we might get closer to what’s fine. Just a thought is all but in the end it truly all seems rhetorical.

It seems that there is a huge percentage of the world that thinks in "tribal" terms rather than "we are the world", so maybe for now this is the best we can do.
But now becomes then just as soon as you've had the thought of it being so. If nothing, or no one, changes, then nothing changes. And actually, when I think about it, we truly are the world. Or at least the ones responsible for the mess that the world keeps getting deeper into. But our game-plan doesn't seem to be working all that swell, so far. Maybe we can strive to be just 1% better every year. In time it might make a difference. We could try thinking globally instead of tribally. I hear a different drummer maybe, than that huge percentage.

Yes, we MUST show that we accept everything these days, regardless of how ridiculous it is. 😁
Not everything. As a choice which we all get to have & how it affects a person financially or physically IMO should be the only factor to consider.

Winning a contest that has no impact on me or my life is of little interest to me. I can accept the choice made simply because it's one of the rights we have that aren't as far as I know, not restricted by some law.

Tired of these people.
What to teens think of this events?
Does it make them 'explore'?
It is nonsense.

A weight lifter that used to be a boy will be allowed to take part in the Olympics:mad:
that is wrong, wrong.
A problem easily solved by giving that weight lifter some sort of weight penalty. I sure it could be figured out as don’t they calculate the weight of jockeys vs the weight of the horse and even the weight out.

Or the artificial limbs on certain runners get an advantage as well. We could just make them leave them off.

Or, here a thought, there is a pandemic. Oh, yeah. The whole world is short on money. People are dying everywhere. We could just cancel the Olympics, and idk, feed the poor or do some other totally ridiculous thing with the money.

🤦🏻‍♀️

There is the PGA for men golfers and the LPGA for lady golfers. These were created during the era of common sense.
Why? I can understand American football having separate gender teams because of the contact. But golf & so many non contact sports IMO have no real reason to be separate.

I am hardly an expert on this subject, but my understanding is that a transvestite refers only to the person's desire to wear the clothes of the opposite sex. I've never heard of a woman transvestite, though maybe they do exist. And the difference in clothes isn't so dramatic. A woman can easily get away with wearing a t-shirt, a sweatshirt, etc. and jeans. So what? It's not the same as a man wearing an evening gown and heels, jewelry and makeup. But the word "transvestite" is always about clothing.

The other two words you listed, Becky, I think have the same meaning. A transsexual (or transgender person) has come to believe they actually are the opposite gender. They feel "trapped" in the wrong body. In my opinion, this is a denial of reality and a kind of mental illness. I can't understand why the media are giving this tragic condition all this support, and acting like it's just another political movement, and their "rights" are being violated.

Also, I don't think it's at all the same thing as being gay. A gay person does not deny being the gender that he/she is.

I wonder, what happens if a transgender person is also gay? That's enough to make your head spin!
I knew someone in MS and HS who transgendered deep in her adulthood from female to male. It was always obvious that she was deeply uncomfortable in her own skin.

I celebrated the transition that brought him inner calm and much joy. As it happened he was also gay, meaning he had become male and was attracted to men. It's not as rare as outsiders might think.

I don't judge the tortured gender identity of others. There but for the grace of God, a happy accident of DNA, and who-knows-what-else, go I.

This is a hard one for me as I have always thought what you were born with was you. I never knew that there were people not comfortable with themselves. To each their own. I will continue to believe what I do and you do the same. I will tolerate all these changes but not change my way of thinking.

From Google:
Arccos Average Driving Distance Report
If you take a larger step back and look at all of their users, you can see that the average male golfer hits their driver about 225 yards while a female averages just under 170 yards.

I dated a young man who later came out as gay. Through him, I knew a young man who had female hormone treatments and surgery. They showed up one day at the office during my break. His friend was wearing a dress, high heels and a wig .. they were both gentle souls.

Golf is a combination of skill and strength, I'd say and most men are physically stronger than most women, so it's not a quite equal playing field. Maybe a sport like darts or bowling would seem a fair match-up between different genders though.

But in a beauty contest, which is what Miss USA basically is, most minds are not trained to see a man as beautiful and most men would never call themselves Miss. If one goes through the expense and effort, of which, both would seem extraordinary, to make themselves as beautiful as she appears, then I think that that person should be respected in whatever gender they choose to live as. Miss Nevada may have been born as a male but she looks very beautiful and happy with her chosen self. It's nice to have choices, I think. Maybe she's just exercising her right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness as I exercise mine today. We don't have to like that she was born a man but she obviously didn't like it either so she did what she could to make her life more of what she wanted it to be. She had a dream and she pursued it. I hope she has more, it gives me hope that my dreams may yet come true!

It's golf not a beauty contest.
How important is it in the average everyday persons life is getting to a par 3 hole in fewer strokes?

IMO it's more about money draw. While uneven most if not all males in sports cause more money to be spent watching their performance.
