The Subject Least Interesting To Members Here

It's not that I am not interested in the environment but it seems I am at a point in my life where it is out of my control. When I lived at my off the grid homestead, I was really into all the things I could do to do my part. But when I moved from there to a senior housing apartment, everything was taken out of my control. I freaked out when I was told to throw the recyclables right in the bag with my garbage. I didn't understand why! Turns out they have a garbage truck or equipment that sorts it automatically???? I researched it and I guess they do.

I will take a look at that topic and see what it is about.

I start with ‘What’s New’ or ‘New Posts’ and read/respond to threads that interest me.

To be honest it’s all getting old and a little bit tedious but it has become a habit. That statement probably says more about me than it does about SF.

I still look forward to spending time with a few of the SF regulars. The people are what really keeps me coming back not the topics or the turmoil.

I'm pretty much maxed out with discussions about Covid and its vaccine. Nobody ever changes their mind, we are all entrenched in what and who we believe, and it's become almost like two opposing teams mocking each other. Not only "not interesting," it's very sad to see what this country has become.

I find myself more and more drawn to the Games and Entertainment topics.

adly but not surprisingly the Environment topic appears to be the subject most ignored here. Count the number of related topics then see the number of responses. Maybe that is why the environment is is deep trouble.
Could very well be

We recycle
But not to the degree of Japan
They're pretty astute at it

As far as air pollutants, no, I have yet to campaign around with signs and such

I do sign petitions when I see 'em

Yeah, pretty pathetic

I firmly believe that the upper-echelon sitting right at the top, know full-well that this planet called Earth, is finished. It's on it's way out, and there's not a darned thing anyone can do about it now, hence why it seems to take a backseat to all other things.

When I first came to this page it was to get away from the day to day pettiness I see on fakebook. I never go to certain topics because I do not want to get into heavy discussions over those things. I can do that on fb. I try to stay in a light positive mood and not dwell on subjects that bring me down. If I can add to a discussion due to what I have been through and seen then I do but I try to never give advice if it is not needed.

I go right through all the boards and even check out older ones.

I don't like politics, sports, games, and I'm sick of covid discussions also.
I'm to old to care about fashion.

Medical issues don't interest me because the bottom line is medicine isn't about caring its a business that leeches us dry.

I do my part to help the environment but I'm not one to wave banners or protest.
What I do enjoy is reading about what seniors do on a day to day basis, their hobbies and best of all photos and posts about days gone by, beautiful scenery, animals, and of course gardening.
Some might say I'm living in the past but I like it there.

I'm right there with you, Ruth!

I'll take the past over today, 8 days a week!

The Environment is getting increasing attention...especially with the weather patterns we are seeing in the Western States. Unfortunately, there seems to be very little that we can do to change what is surely coming. The combination of natural changes in the planets weather, combined with the "abuses" humans have created, over the past century, have created conditions that will quite likely cause some really serious problems in the very near future. If present weather patterns continue, this year is going to be the worst in decades.

Climatologists have been warning about a coming "tipping point" for years....it may Already be here.

I recently watched a program showing truck loads of human cast off litter they had scraped from shorelines. I was glad to see the litter being removed even knowing there are still tons in the ocean selfishly having been tossed there. "Oh one little can, or whatever, can't hurt anything," said one of the thousands of people who do the same thing. :(

I don't think people care much. Even at work, co-workers throw trash in the parking lot. Even with the drought people blast water to rinse some little plastic container or water bottle. And of coarse, everyone is watering their lawns. I don't know where this is going to end.
