I have never been declared as rare...merely different.
OH Dear God... how did you survive that.. ?....the pain , it must have been horrific..rare, but I already knew that because I survived the fire that doctors said should have done me in.there was enough left on my hands to compre to the pictures.

I guess dear God was how I survived. That pic was taken after I was moved from intensive care and some of the swelling had gone down and I was able to open my eye's. 2nd and 3rd degree over 60% of my body. I lost about 30% of my lung capacity, but hey... I'm still kicking. According to the doctors, I shouldn't have survived the night, but, I guess God had a plan for me.OH Dear God... how did you survive that.. ?....the pain , it must have been horrific..

Oh what a Survivor you are...I just cannot imagine the pain you suffered with 60 % burns...super hero....I guess dear God was how I survived. Now I have to admit, the pain was at times unbearable... even morphine didn't dull it. You know, I dislike a great amount of people, but, I don't know any that I could wish burns on.
On a side note... my wife now knows what "burned beyond recognition" means. When she first arrived at the hospital and they pointed out this gray, brown burnt lump and said that's him, she said nope, there must be a mistake. We can laugh now, but not back then.
