Used to be almost 5' 2", and have dated a couple of guys who were eye-to-eye with me.
I am now 5' and don't know any men my height. However, personality and character are what impress me.

I always preferred men to be taller than me and also considered what the heights would be when I wore heels. I feel guilty about being so petty and I believe that preference came from my mother telling me that made an attractive couple.
of course my father was taller than Mom. My late husband was only slightly taller when I wore heels and I told him if he shrank I would get him elevator shoes.

I read somewhere that 'The Rack' that was used in medieval times, can actually help people with bad backs by stretching the torso an inch per hour, thus, regaining their original height.

I wouldn't mind trying that, I'd take one of my sleeping tablets, and after I'd nodded off for eight hours, I could awake and find myself 6ft-6" tall.

Since it is the guy who usually asks for a date, the male ego might get in the way to date a taller girl. I never got interested in anyone taller even though some were pretty close.

I would date a gal taller than me, and I am short, but she would not date or hang out or look at a short guy unless he was quite rich, famous, had connections and other reasons. So movie stars and famous men in history are okay. Of course, it is shallow, and women say that feminine attributes are shallow reasons for men. So be it. Picking a mate is not logical or deep. Instinct, desire, magnetism occurs.
