Used Mobile homes are selling for about 3 times what they costs originally, IMO, in my area. We would have bought a mobile home, but not paying a silly price for one. Housing prices are crazy. I bet in 6 months or so we hit a major depression as our economy can not maintain its current status.Used motorcycles are a hot item with premium prices right now. When the dealer driver came to pick mine up for repair, he noted there was a really good market and asked if I wanted to sell mine. As it is, I can't get it repaired due to lack of parts caused by supply chain issues. There were some reports on a motorcycle forum about bikes selling used for more than they cost new. May or may not be true; as some braggadocio can be found among riders.
Well, I wouldn't bet against you on that. It's a distinct possibility that's starting to look like various aspects of history repeating itself.Used Mobile homes are selling for about 3 times what they costs originally, IMO, in my area. House prices here which were already HUGE , have gone through the roof lately...(unintended pun)Used Mobile homes are selling for about 3 times what they costs originally, IMO, in my area. They don't have enough anxiety medication in the world to cover that.Imagine the chaos if all the computers stopped working,
We lived without computers before, we can live without them again. They don't have enough anxiety medication in the world to cover that.![]()
the problem is that most under 40's especially in the western hemisphere have never known a life without computers, and really would barely know how to survive... and tbh.. despite having lived perfectly happily without computers myself in my early years like all of us here, I prefer my life ( overall) with computers in it...We lived without computers before, we can live without them again.
Oh that would really hurt. Typing manually, having carbon copies, communicating at work by putting sheets of paper in mail boxes, filing all the important pieces of paper in filing cabinets, all those little cards in skinny drawers at the library, getting slips of paper stamped when checking out a book, carrying lots of books, having to use paper money. We must use a lot less paper nowadays I guess. We lived without computers before, we can live without them again.

Editing to add - OMG no senior forums! :-(
This feature makes a big difference for some of us!higher carriage,
Well you could invite them all overBut not in my living room?![]()
But I didn't really need to see them, nor did I truly want to feed them.Well you could invite them all over
When we bought our last car we were allowed X amount permitted on the card. Can’t remember the amount, $10K or $20K. I’m sure they somehow factored that CC fee into what we paid.I may try to put the entire purchase on my credit card, and get a nice bit of "cash back"
I would have run as fast I could from that dealership.Went to car dealership and tried to trade my car in for a new car. Oh, look, I want the blue one. Salesperson, the blue one is sold.
Ok, I’ll take the white one. Salesperson, the white one is sold. Hmm, then why are they on the lot? Salesperson, because we want the lot to look like it has cars for sale and their owners have not yet picked them up. We do have some cars coming in at the end of August. Better put a deposit now if you want one.
Well, what new cars do you have for sale on the lot now? Salesperson-None.. What about your other dealership? Salesperson-NONE.
Salesperson, let me see if I can find you one somewhere in the state. NOPE.. Oh, wait, here is one in Idaho. But it is white. (I did not want a white car, again.). Me, I’ll take it. Salesperson Let me check and see if it sold yet. It’s still available, we can get it down here next week. Ok. It’s 37,000 plus. It’s loaded with all the safety features I want.
A used car, 2019, not loaded costs 31,000.. Decided to buy new.
Right now, used cars are bringing premium prices on the lots 'cause they can't get new ones yet.
We drove a lot before Covid-19, and plan to continue taking road trips. Since the car we bought in 2019 was recalled twice, getting rid of it and getting a new one with a bit more engine power. We don't want a car payment so we'll hang on to our vehicles, both were bought in 2015. My car has less than 15,000 miles. lol
Them that you meet a the senior centerBut I didn't really need to see them, nor did I truly want to feed them.
And, who is them?
I already have all of you, filling up my living room!

They tend to limit the amountBack to buying cars.....one of the local dealers is posting a commercial saying that buyers can put the down payment on their credit card. That gives me an idea if/when we decide to buy a new car....I may try to put the entire purchase on my credit card, and get a nice bit of "cash back".
I didn't go out that much. Only went to doctors, stores, etc. I don't have the stamina that I did, say 5 years ago. I finally went out earlier. Went to go buy a universal remote control for my TV and other food items. I love Big Lots.We drove a lot before Covid-19, and plan to continue taking road trips.
