I am sickened by killings in Afghanistan

Today I heard an eye witness account of three babies who were killed in Afghanistan when a parent tried to throw them over the wall at the airport and they became entangled in the razor wire.

Also a father who shot his daughter rather than have her face what would happen to her under the new regime.

Such desperation knowing there is nothing that can be done, I can't begin to imagine.
 

An Afghanistan woman living here in our State was on noon news saying what the women & young girls will be in for now that the Taliban has taken over. A woman can't be out on the streets without a man with them. They have to do anything the man says. Young girls get raped as soon as they get to 13 years old.

They can not go to any school or church. You will follow the Kuran. If they disobey or try to leave they get their heads chopped off to show others what happens if they disobey the Taliban.

This will be the life they will have if they can't escape now while the troops are there.

Agree that we should've left long ago, and withdrawal has challenges, but there are so many preventable things that have gone wrong with how this has played out. Globally, it's viewed as a US enabled disaster.

The people who must change the way of life in Afghanistan are the Afghani people themselves. Neither the strength of the Taliban nor their intention could have been a secret. Why else would their President fill his pockets with gold and run as soon as he saw that the US intended to follow the terms of the 2020 Peace Agreement
 
Time for the U.S. to show our might. We do not run. Well, we used to not run, but now things have changed. Our allies are no more.
Marines have been killed. This really jerks my chain. How our great Nation has changed in only seven months.

It is totally the fault of that idiot in Washington. GRR ! With minimal planning it COULD have gone smoothly and without bloodshed.

True. In fact it was what I did when Bush decided to launch his colonialist invasion. If others had been similarly stimulated, perhaps he would not have started his war and we would not have the mess we see today.

I was watching an interview yesterday by navy seal Jocko Willink, the man makes a lot of sense.
If only someone like him was in a position of power, instead of that bumbling fool.
