Parking spots

Karen and her husband blocking parking spots for their family who were "right around the corner"

Ever happened to you?
Yes, but I pulled in anyway. Funny thing is, the person's family had already parked. They walked up just as I got out of my car, which prevented a conflict, I'm sure.

Oh, yeah, there was a fistfight i saw in the parking lot of a popular swimmin' hole in the mountains a couple of summers ago.

Very small parking lot, so you had to get there early. Bubba-Joe was trying to save a place for friends by putting his cooler, chairs, and himself in the spot. Jim-Bob showed up and attempted to park there. An argument started and Jim-Bob just drove his big pick-em-up right over Bubba-Joe's chairs and almost Bubba-Joe.

Well, the fists flew. Bubba-Joe's friends showed up and the fight went into second gear. It was definitely a raree of the first quality.

Somebody must have called the ranger station, which was only about a half mile down the road, 'cause the rangers showed up and kicked the whole kit-and-kaboodle out of the park. I'm sure round three was continued at the redneck bar that was just outside the entrance of the park.

Moral of the story: don't mess with a redneck and his parkin' spot.

Yes, I've seen people "saving" parking spaces for friends, etc. It often happens in a popular park near me with a walking path & lake that's crowded on weekends.
Since I'm not the "confrontational" type, I just drive on & find another space. Why bother; isn't life stressful enough already??

Re: Expensive, shiny cars taking two spaces.......same thing. I just find another space. My purpose in life is not to teach anyone a lesson.
Guess I'll never be the subject of a Village People song:

Well, you knew you couldn't have a parking thread without this classic...
