Seems Like There's A Mass Shooting Almost Every Day!

What cases would that be?
The assassination of John Kennedy
The assasination of Olaf Plame
The non-existant WMDs in Iraq
The Cuba missile crisis
The Islamic revolution in Iran
The death of Frank Olson
etc. etc. etc.

Kennedy's assassin was killed before trial
Olson, I thought he committed suicide or his manner of death was undetermined.

The other were out of country and I don't think we should be held accountable for them.

You have been misinformed. The CIA was responsible for 5 of them and were involved in the cover-up of all 6.

I think there's more to it than that. Which police departments were defunded and where have many mass shootings occurred? Many mass shootings were by people from middle class families and neighborhoods...places where such occurrences "couldn't happen".
True!

First, the slogan Defund the Police was poorly chosen. What they meant and what it should have been called is Reformed the Police. The whole idea originally was to remove some responsibilities from the police. Too many things on their plates and the demonstrated solution was to shoot the offenders upon arrival.

Secondly, when it comes to shootings in low income or crimes areas, it is basically gang activity. Revenge shootings. For at least the last 121 years, we have had gangs in this country.
That's one segment of gun violence.

Another segment of gun violence is mass public shootings. What we see happening in everyday places which we expect to be safe: Shopping centers, grocery stores, churches, theaters, night clubs and schools. This is what the Rand Corporation found in their analysis:

"According to this literature (see, for example, Capellan et al., 2019; Duwe, 2020), the perpetrators of mass public shootings in the United States have been overwhelmingly male (98 percent) and are most commonly non-Hispanic White (61 percent). In addition, they are most commonly younger than age 45 (82 percent); more specifically, 26 percent of mass public shooters from 1976 to 2018 were younger than age 25, 27 percent were aged 25 to 34, and 29 percent were aged 35 to 44. Relative to the overall U.S. population, mass public shooting offenders are much more likely to be male and are somewhat younger; relative to other homicide offenders, males and non-Hispanic Whites are overrepresented among mass public shooters, and mass public shooters are older. For comparison, of the overall U.S. population in 2019, approximately 49 percent was male, 60 percent was younger than age 45, and 60 percent was non-Hispanic White (U.S. Census Bureau, 2020). Of murderers in 2018 with known offender characteristics, 88 percent were men, 84 percent were younger than age 45 (38 percent younger than 25, 31 percent aged 25 to 34, and 16 percent aged 35 to 44), and 42 percent were White (Hispanic ethnicity information was not provided) (FBI, 2019f)."

Through video games, they are shooting before they start school. That can't be good.
I don't see a cause & effect connection between such video games & violent behavior. We all grew up with violent TV - both cartoons & movies where people get shot & blown up.

You must be joking.

We all grew up with violent TV - both cartoons & movies where people get shot & blown up.
No, we didn't. All we heard was a "bang" and then someone lying on the floor with ketchup on his shirt and neither Wile E. Coyote nor Lou Costello bled a drop.

Your post is so full of misinformation/disinformation that I'm not even going to bother to refute any of it.

ETA: The comment is meant for Tom 86.
Better get out in the world & see what's happening. My SIL works for SIA. They can't get the chips from Chima to build the cars. They are on a 4-day 4hr work schedule. This is what my S.I.L. is telling me & also having to get another job to help pay bills.

A friend of mine went to buy a new car. They told him he can buy what's on the lot at a higher price, but if you want one with what you want on it, (stripped-down model) you will have to wait months for it. The ones on the lot he said have all the goodies on them & sell for over $10,000.00 higher than what he wants. The one he wants price is $25,000.00. The one on the lot with all the goodies just like what he wants is now $$34,999.00

I could go on but too many people have their heads in the sand.

So you're saying that I "grew up with violent TV - both cartoons & movies where people get shot & blown up" but I didn't notice? Very nice talking with you.
That's your misinterpretation of what I posted.
When you make a nasty comment, you should expect to get one back.
No one is forcing you to talk to me. Or anyone else.
