Dear American friends,

You may have seen your fellow Americans on Fox News calling for Australia to be liberated from our tyrannical nightmare. Now we’re asking for your help too.

Trapped in an oppressive regime of free healthcare, low gun crime, brutally beautiful weather and suffocating open space, we have nowhere else to turn.

We are suffering. Our minimum wages, like our vaccination rates, are ominously high. Our standard of living sits dangerously amongst the highest in the world. Our schools lack even the most basic metal detectors.

This cannot go on.

While Candace Owens has bravely suggested Australia should be invaded, we believe there is another, more effective way you can help. Instead of sending us your troops, send us your money.

  • Just $100 can buy us a nice brunch for four at our local café
  • $10 can pay for a second monthly streaming service, freeing us of the burden of having to keep switching between a Netflix, Stan and Prime subscription (so annoying!)
  • $5,000 will pay for our medical bills for a year, with $5,000 left over to spend on something totally unrelated
They say you can’t put a price on freedom, but we’d suggest it’s probably a monthly payment of $50. Minimum.

Ok, no invasion force should violate the rules! May make us the first fully vaccinated invasion force in history.

So far my organization is limited, I am about 4,999 volunteers short of a legion. But that may be enough.

As I recall the National Lampoon was organizing an invasion of Canada back in the 70s, seems to have worked out.
 
Well, Warrigal, if you watch Fox News, it's clear why you have a distorted view on real Aussie/Merikin concepts. Unfortunately, both nations have a pitiful history of relationships with Natives. Yet, both nations strive to make life better for its citizens. But, aside from TV 'analysts', I believe our nations are more brothers in the same quest for the benefit on mankind, rather than the inane ramblings of some vapid TV "personality".

$100 for brunch for four? Maybe for two, depending on where you go. My nephew lives in Melbourne and he tells me that everything is shockingly expensive, especially for visiting Americans.

No knock on Australia, it just costs a lot for visitors.
 
Is this accusation against FOX News taken out of context and distorted? I can't find anything anywhere that FOX News said anything about liberating Australia.

Is this politically motivated and distorted? None of the Republicans mentioned in the last sentence of the opening post have asked for donations, have they? Is that also fake?

I did read the instruction at the top to read to the end but I stopped when I saw "Donate Here". To me that was the end.

Good thing you removed the Paypal link. And I can assure you I would never support the likes of "The Shovel"....especially by sending money. Give me a little credit o_O

Nor me, and I would not like to mislead someone who might be a bit gullible. I am constantly being invited to donate money on Facebook with sob stories but not knowing where the money goes I always decline.
