Queen Elizabeth's health, and needless cover up??

The 95 year old symbol of the UK is having health problems. I wonder how reliable the press notifications are. Again, we have a "back " concern, which canceled several events. There seems to be a lack of transparency. For instance, ostensibly the Queen was supposedly told by her doctors to rest for the night, but in fact she spent the night in the hospital. The woman is a beloved icon for a majority of the world's population, her health is a paramount concern.

It always makes me nervous when they feel the need to trot out a recent photo.

I was surprised at the loud patterned dress and the lack of masks in this photo from Wednesday.

The recent report that seemed odd to me was a few weeks ago when they said it was too late for Her Majesty to return home from the hospital.

It seems like someone could have given Her Majesty a lift.

I hope she is able to regain her health and continue for many years to come.

I think that they are just keeping her away from the
cold in order to protect her, she certainly looks fine
to me.

The family, at least a lot of them are doing her duties,
Charles and Camilla are in Jordan on a state visit.

Her message to the General Synod of the Anglican
Church, was delivered by Prince Edward, Princess
Anne carried out "Investitures" at Windsor Castle
for her Mother.

The queen herself met some people in Windsor Castle
as you can see in the picture, put up by Aunt Bea.

you don't need to wear masks in most places unless
the owner says you must, you are advised to keep a
space between you and another, hand shakes are
out too, no kisses either unless it is in your own family,
who live with you.

Mike.

Well, after all, Fuzzy, she is 95. What can we expect? It would be truly amazing if she didn't have some health concerns.

It's not really about the Queen's state of health, but the idiotic cover up of her illness. Today, there are rumors the the Queen has already died.. So everybody is running around saying " no, no no no". But the fact is the Palace ( whatever that is) lied about her initial visit to the hospital. They denied it, then had to admit it was true. The woman is 95, and she will have health issues. A 95 year old woman spending a night in the hospital is not uncommon, so why not just say so? The "Palace" has sown the seeds for all the rumors, because of its previous non-transparency, and frankly, lies.

A 95 yr old woman and her family deserve some privacy in dealing with health issues. And they do understand that many members of the public are concerned. I’m sure there are many different ideas on what her subjects and the public in general is “entitled” to know. It will all come out eventually. Patience.

They said Operation Forth Bridge worked like clockwork when Phillip died.
... guess that works fine in the UK.
In the US, we have cutesy names assigned to people for security reasons.😀

The nearest cover up is to avoid needless speculation!

'Twas ever thus.

The Establishment covers up automatically, just as politicians lie automatically.

It's built in and comes with the territory.
I agree with Laurie. The Queen of England is a public figure, and especially with this Queen. I don't understand the need to cover up the fact she had a brief hospital stay. It's perfectly natural for a woman of her age. All of us with mothers in their 90s know this. The thing is once you get caught covering up, that ruins any credibility you had. Without a credible source, you have misinformation and rampant speculation.
