Things that might be in your 'Very Important-Stay Out-I'll Need That Someday' drawer.

Most people have at least one drawer for things they might Use one day, but probably won't.

Unknown charger for something, pens that are dried up, old glasses, etc.

Of course, in my case, there will be an assortment of screws, nuts, bolts, wire nuts, etc.
These I will probably transfer to the 'other' must keep forever drawer in the garage.

I might go though it only when it won't close anymore and something has to GO!

Not sure why having one of these drawers is a such a concern to my wife.
What part of 'Stay Out' doesn't she understand.
I gave up the Closet years ago. Shoes. Nuff' said.

I have a good sized ziplock bag filled with tweezers, clippers, nail files, etc...

Some are quite old finely crafted and engraved others are dime store items.

I’ve never needed any of them and should probably chuck them in the bin.

Another is a bag of coins from around the world that various members of the family brought home when they were in the military.

They would make great pirate treasure for some young kids.🏴‍☠️
 
One drawer in my dresser contain scarves, mittens, and a ton of wallets and little coin purses.
I've never worn scarves, gave up mittens in the 5th grade, the wallets don't have a place for credit cards because they were unheard of and coin purses would only hold the quarter I need to get my shopping cart at the grocery store.
Time to purge again I guess.
 
I need about an hour to go over all the drawers that we have that hold, 'stuff'.

Hubby has two large drawers that are on the coffee table filled to the brim with all kinds of stuff. He has the end table packed too. And then as if that wasn't enough.... he has two LARGE compartments and two drawers on the TV stand filled to the brim as well. I have given up in asking him to clean them out.

The one in the kitchen has so many different things and it is the smallest drawer. Matches, small screw driver, batteries, birthday candles, thumbtacks, etc.

I have too many drawers that are full of stuff that's too good to throw away, or will come in handy one day or is the 4th version of something else I own.......the sideboard drawers, one kitchen drawer, one bedroom drawer..and that's not counting the shed and or barn drawers with the tools in them

Well, This was fun! I was curious so I went and looked in it!
I have an old Colt 45 SA and ammo, a brass knuckle, 2 scented candles, some precious gemstones and rocks,
a little heart shaped jewelry box I made out of purpleheart wood, a flashlight from Alaska, a bunch of old brothel tokens
that belonged to my late husband, (UNUSED, my friends) a slot screwdriver and a pair of pliers.
Haha! Haven't been in there in years!

I love that your junk drawer is so eclectic!
 
A drawer for nails and screws, a hammer, pliers, and 3 screwdrivers, adhesives - wood glue, JB Weld, all-purpose glue, hot glue (and gun), and various types of tape, hooks, a long-nosed lighter, and a box-cutter. I use all of it.

Plus I have a large plastic tub stuffed with fabric remnants. The only time any of it gets tossed out is when I've been given "nicer" remnants to cram in there (crammed in, but neatly folded). I probably won't even use a quarter of it before I'm too feeble to remember how.
 
Apart from Holly, most of the 'Someday' drawer contents are on the west side of the pond. You could be forgiven in thinking that it was an American phenomenon. Not so Americans, we Brits not only have a: "I might need that someday," drawer, we also have a: "Don't throw that out, wardrobe." It has all the clothes we are going to wear when we have shed those few extra pounds that sit, most annoyingly, in the way of the zipper or buttons, that prevent those said garments from being worn.
 
I have a drawer in my printer cabinet full of various computer cables, most of which are obsolete.

TODO: Clean out printer cabinet drawer, put obsolete cables in a box, and store in shed along with all the obsolete stereo cables, just in case I might need them some day.
