Did You See the Alec Baldwin Interview on ABC Tonight?

I watched the whole thing but my hearing is not as good as it used to be so a little bit I didn't hear..but most of it I did hear.

He claims someone put a live bullet in the gun but who it is he either doesn't know or has his ideas about it. Says it's a one in a billion happening. The FBI will find out.

What was your impression of the interview?

I didn't watch. I saw clips on the news and he was emotional, but he is an actor after all. My personal feeling is that he would have never fired a gun that killed someone, but he should have checked it first. I will look past the fact that I think he is a great actor but a horrible human being and say that I can't imagine that he would have never intentionally done something that stupid.

He claims that on other sets in the past he has checked guns but was advised not to because it causes a long drawn out process. He said this never happens on sets--or a one in a billion time. I guess you needed to watch the interview to fully understand where he is coming from. It will be on 20/20 on Friday. I don't think he's a horrible human being btw. There's not many people I feel that way about.

Did you not see the video of his drunken tirade to his daughter? Or the many times he has assaulted press? To each his/her own...

I don't believe every bit of gossip that's in the media about people. And I'd have to know him personally before I'd make any judgement about him. And I don't know him personally or the stories behind the gossip or his side of the stories so I will refrain from judging him. I go by the old adage: Judge not lest ye be judged.

"Checking a gun is a long, drawn out process?" LOL- Takes less than 3 seconds.

Yes, I saw him wiping the "tears" every few seconds with George. Never saw any actual tears. Its not gossip about his "rants". The videos were all over the news, being played about how he treated his daughter, etc. They were not heresay. Not judging the guy but I have followed him for years and have no use for him. He should have checked the gun himself. He is a producer for the movie so of course he is trying to protect himself and his bank account. My dad would clean his guns and always taught us to respect a gun and never take it for granted it was not loaded. So, I did not believe his fake tears a few hours ago.

I only saw the sound bite on the evening news and a previous clip of him and his wife.

IMO he is turning this into a publicity opportunity focused on himself.

Personally, I would have more respect for him if he stayed out of the public eye until this has been fully investigated and laid to rest.

Was holding gun, says he did not pull trigger.
Thanks, so he did point the gun at her, not something he should have done. The trigger pulling, or not, may be hard to prove.

I do not think this was intentional on his part, just carelessness. We all have our moments of carelessness, fortunately they rarely result in something like this. Not to relieve him of responsibility, had he practiced better gun safety this would not have happened. He is not likely alone in being responsible, will be interesting to find out more.

IMO, there are 2 questions; How did the gun fire, and where did the live round come from. I think he answered the first question by explaining the cocking of the pistol. If he did not pull the hammer back far enough, the hammer would fall and fire the round. Thus the expression "going off half cocked".
The more important question was where did the live round come from, and what kind of rounds were the other five in the pistol? As far as him personally, no comment.

Being a single action revolver meant he had to pull the trigger back. Whether or not he pulled it back all the way is irrelevant. The fact is he pointed a gun (not knowing if it was loaded or not) at someone for no reason (not part of a movie scene) and that someone died as a result. :( At the very least I believe that qualifies as negligent homicide.
The crocodile tears he supposedly shed should qualify come Oscar time.
