Strange inventions

I like that "pedestrian scoop"! The radio hat is pretty cool too! I will pass on the radioactive mask however!. I have invented a few things myself, however not quite as outlandish as these. Mostly I have come up with innovations to fix broken items made from cheap flimsy materials.

Looking again at the leaf blower gives me an idea. My inlaws gave me one of these, and it just sits as I never use it. I will rig this up to blow air into my wood burner to create a draft when needed to start it. Currently, I have to drag a bulky old shop vac out. I created a wooden manifold that fits over the air intake that allows me to create a draft. I know there are other (expensive) devices for this that are built into the chimney, and maybe someday I will set this up, but for now I have used my own innovation and it works fine. Once the fire starts, or the wind is right, the stove drafts fine. I have this problem due to the chimney running outside the house and also due to some nearby trees on one side.

I wish someone would invent an audio limiter for stereo systems so commercials don't blast out twice as loud as whatever you're trying to watch. It would also be handy when parts of movies are a lot louder than other parts, such as scenes with a lot of gunfire.

Or maybe some audio amplifiers have that feature built in and I just don't know about it. I don't think mine does.

.... and automatic lighting for those damned night and dark scenes plus a gyroscope mechanism to steady those really stupid "handheld camera effects" that irritate the hell out of me and give me a headache.

Back in the '70s, all TVs had this. Then people were going to get a snack & advertisers said people are NOT hearing or seeing our advertisements. So they made the TV industry take it off.

Tell me please, what are these leaf blowers supposed to accomplish?

Along with leaf blowing my Toro rated at 140 mph wind it works great for blowing the accumulated lint from the clothes dryer tube that exits to the outside of our home. I usually wash the lint filter with soap then about every 5th. time I blow the lint out, because lint still gets into that tube
