Are you crazy?

Gaer

"Angel whisperer"
Are we?
I am!
I'm wondering with all the fear and hatred in the wind, why all of us are not completely off our rockers!
Are we all picking up the sadness, confusion
and uncertainty in the air or from other minds? Is it our own minds or our own consciousness?
Is it a side effect of the disease or the chemicals surrounding us in the air we breathe?
is there no more genuine happiness ?
Is it age related or because of aloneness?

Someone once said, "SANITY: That's the truest sign of insanity. Insane people are always sure they're just fine.
It's only the sane people who are willing to admit they're insane."

note: I will not monitor reactions past day 1.

I've been completely off my rocker all day today. Crying, even screaming. Today is such a bad day, yet it's almost like all the other days when I'm not crying even screaming. I have a bad headache, and I'm sick of my nose always running.

Most of my insanity today insisted on its freedom.

Not insane today but terribly sad. My friend and neighbor of many years has moved to FL for an easier, less restricted life. I know I will never see her again. :( Just getting through the day has been tough.
Chic, I don't know you in the conventional sense, anymore than you know me. Yet I find your posts an enjoyable read, you never over dramatise or present any sort of: look-at-me, look-at-me attitude. You're really appreciated here.

Now if you can have that impact on a stranger, an ocean apart from yourself, you can certainly have it with a dear friend through correspondence. I say correspondence rather than email because there's so many ways of keeping in touch these days.

Your neighbour can still be a good and close friend, just make an effort to contact each other regularly. I can tell you from experience that a letter is very much appreciated. So, don't become despondent, you could be in touch even more than you were previously.

No we won't. We grew especially close during the pandemic. We were almost the only two people who went out - anywhere, while everyone else stayed in afraid of people and the fresh air. We were the only two who shoveled snow without wearing a mask. We saw each other daily and passed the time. Without her, I would have been a basket case. She will be busy in her new life now and will not have time either. I now have 7 friends who have left my state for FL because of the restrictions here. I never hear from any of them and since I'm back at work, I have to keep on keeping on for myself. It's like a death and one I must get used to.
