Anybody Like Jigsaw Puzzles?

I know that this is a stereotypical "old folks" past time, but I love them! My preference is 300-500 pieces with lots of good contrasting sections, as opposed to a mish-mosh of nearly identical pieces. I have no love for the 1000+ piece types but I know many like these. I have a 200 piece one that I time myself on - can put it together in 45 minutes.

I have loved puzzles since I was a kid. A big reason I stick to fewer pieces is that once I start it, I can not rip myself away!

I used to enjoy putting jigsaw puzzles together and I had about a half dozen nice ones, made by Hallmark. Good quality puzzles. But my children decided one day, when they were too young to consider the consequences of doing so, that it would be great fun to mix all the puzzles together and then try to solve them. Of course, that didn't quite turn out as they had planned. Anyway, I gave up after that point on buying more puzzles. 🤣😌

I used to do a lot of puzzles at one time. Good quality ones Ravenscroft... usually 500 or 1000, but eventually I couldn't do them because I have lower back issues and bending for any period of time, even slightly hurt too much so I stopped doing them. I do have a wooden one that I got specially hand made by a friend of mine from a Baby picture of my daughter..I got it made for my daughters' 18th birthday.. I thought she'd love it.. but she hated it.. :(..anyway I've still got it and I love it..

If I get the urge to do a puzzle now, I do little ones up to 150 pieces online...

I think I've done 1 or 2 in my life, so far.

Funny, cause I have been thinking about doing some...I have the perfect spot and table.
It's by a window, so I've been waiting for the weather to warm up to get started.

I also was thinking about getting the paint by numbers pictures. One of my junior high classmates recommended them
to me on FB.

Same and if they're cut from a painting by Wysocki, I'm in heaven.

We used to do them as a family when I was young. We had a room set up with a card table just for jigsaw puzzles. We would set down together and also breeze in and out individually when one of us felt like. I had not thought about that in years. Good memories. Thanks for posting.
I do them daily, but I prefer the online versions.

Mike.
How about posting a few links if possible? The only ones I have found are pretty small.
