More than 3,900 people are 'interested' in a Facebook event calling for Rotterdam residents to throw rotten eggs Jeff Bezos's newly built-superyacht, for which a historic Dutch bridge could be dismantled.

Report by local media said that the shipyard building the Amazon billionaire's £400million, 17ft yacht Y721 had asked for a historic bridge to be temporarily dismantled to get the boat to sea, with Bezos footing the bill.

Hope they video it sure many would like to watch.

IMO they should hurl the rotten eggs at the shipbuilder.

If I lived in Rotterdam and if I was younger I would join them. Isn't this the same Bozo that went up into space for 1/2 hour or am I barking up the wrong tree? If you ask me I am sick and tired of reading about the dirty rich and their excessive lifestyles. There are a lot of more important issues like the coming invasion of Ukraine, global warming, gun violence, abuse of women and still this Covid19 issue. What Bozo does or does not does not interest me in the least bit.

But think of what it does for his ego! Men love to say "mine is bigger then yours."
Reminds me of a time when a Navy buddy of mine were hitch hiking from Memphis down to a small town in Arkansas.

Just before daylight we were on a bridge over the Mississippi when we both had to urinate. He said damn the river is cold! To which I said & deep to.

Is the 'temporary' dismantling of the bridge going to ruin anything ? If not I don't see all the anger about it ...... I mean he is willing to "foot the bill"

He's a billionaire .. he's going to have big toys .... get over it.

Look instead at the positive , he employs a lot of people !

Ok...but it's still fun to bash him a little bit. :giggle:

Wretched excess is usually not an attractive sight. Part of the genius of Warren Buffett was to position himself as a regular guy who enjoys Cherry Coke and cheeseburgers. I'm sure Buffett lives lavishly, but he doesn't flaunt his wealth.
Buffet lives in a simple house he bought as a young man before he became Warren Buffet. He usually wears suits off the rack. Simple man with simple tastes.

That is his public persona, yes. Of course the "simple" house is over 6500 square feet, but we get the point.
