This is a rock song I wrote in 2004- about the Iraq war "Open Your Hands"

The Iraq War caused at least one hundred thousand civilian deaths, as well as tens of thousands of military deaths (see estimates below). The majority of deaths occurred as a result of the insurgency and civil conflicts between 2004 and 2007.

That was 18 years ago. I had to carry my equipment about 100 yards over a foot bridge to another building so I would not disturb the others. When the muse calls we must follow. :)

Not my type of music.. but very much like the type that my daughter used to write and play with her band ( she's a Bass guitarist)...

I love a great talent... (y)

I've got to say whatever style of music someone listens to or gets into you have to appreciate the talent that it takes someone to put something like this that is well done like this is. I really enjoyed listening to this. Thank You.

Good song, of course also had to listen to Gloria too. ;)

Did you writethe music andlyrics or did you play it too? Whoever was on guitar was pretty darn good!
It is like painting with musical instruments. I carried over the bridge, my bass and regular guitar, amplifier, midi controller, mic, and my pentium 2 laptop. I set up in our old house that was in a flood in the back bedroom where the floor was ruined. I put down the drumtrack first, the the bass, then rhythm guitar and midi organ. I wrote the words on the spot and sang/yelled them and the sound was so weird...I thought I would keep it in because of the craziness of the Iraq war. The guitar solo's and the synth solo were the last tracks. So, yea, it has been a DIY music adventure for about 30 tears now. Thanks for asking. :)
