Now this really got me. Long story less long. Our health insurance provider changed. My doctor that prescribe muscle relaxers do not accept my new insurance. I chose to pay out of pocket..they said they will bill me. Received the bill. Called my insur company to see how to file a claim directly with them. The rep talked me halfway through it. Everything was going smoothly UNTIL I came across a question asking if I am filing a claim for reimbursement for at home Covid test. The only choices were: No, not sure or Yes. I chose, No, not sure. I was not able to continue. Called the insur company back- rep stated...you have to choose Yes - I was like but I am not filing a claim for at Home Covid test.. she said I understand but you have to choose yes to continue.

Sure enough.. I clicked on Yes and was able to continue filing my claim... WHAT IN THE WORLD...:unsure::whistle: Made me wonder how many claims are processed in that manner without our knowledge.

Good grief, I've had a problem with my health insurance company for over a year. They declined to pay for my refills when my pharmacist attempted to submit the bill to them. So I paid out of pocket and went after them. This was a change over company and apparently there was a glitch that had my birth date wrong which was why it was declined. Straightened that out, 2 reps called both me and my pharmacist, apologized, and reassured us both that I would be reimbursed of course. Nothing. Now, I've been fighting them for over a year over this since they maintain that it was paid for in system or by another insurance company. I have the bank statement and pharmacy statement proving I paid nearly $200.00 for these meds and they are still denying me. So, I called my lawyer. Now let's see what happens. Customer service this day is remote and nobody knows anything or are totally rude. Had more dropped calls by hanging on for a rep, etc. What a mess and unconscionable in my opinion.

Lewkat, call your local tv station and talk to their consumer reporter person. Our local ABC station has a "Talk to Ted" person that investigates consumer problems like yours and so far it takes just one call from him and his team to clear things up for the consumer. You are getting the runaround!

Thanks Terry, someone else mentioned that to me as well. If my attorney gets nowhere I'll do just that.

I understand how a computer program is wired so it benefits the company. I do my taxes online for "free". The "free" part winds up costing $39.95. I have a simple tax- I just do not report any income. I've used all those "free" sites. You might get a free submission, but the next year, there's always some problem, that only an online tax consultant can fix-for $39.95. The tax program won't go further, until you "fix" the problem. My taxes are simple, all I have to do is type in 3 numbers. Even I can't screw that up. But when I use the "free" tax program I used the year before, there's always something that needs to be "fixed"- with a pay program. I've used different sites over the last five years- and this happened with all 5 sites.
