I never understood the mentality............ that a restaurant or business here has ANYTHING to do with what is happening across the world.
If they supported Putin ... they most likely would not have immigrated elsewhere ....

Yet another sign that the average maturity seems to be falling to the level of children....
 
I've existed on this ball for 71 years and have never witnessed this level of rampant violence that mimics the very same violence they protest. Russia invades the Ukraine and the best one can do is sail a rock through the window of a Russian business in NYC, hmmm and snatch a bunch of items for good measure. yeah that'll show them.

No surprise. People are always looking for someone to hate & blame for war, the economy, Covid, anything will do.
 
People have to stop confusing the government of a country with citizens of that country. And though I met a Russian guy back in the 70s who said he hated Americans, I also had to remember that all he knew about Americans is what he read in state-owned, government-approved Russian newspapers. Only a few months here totally changed his perspective.
 
Anti Russian sentiment is not only in US, it's everywhere. Putin has made a list of "unfriendly" countries and we are on it and so is half the world lol.

A list of foreign states that Russia considers as having committed "unfriendly actions" against "Russia, Russian companies and citizens" was published on the Russian government's website on Monday.

The countries, international organizations and territories considered "unfriendly" include: "Australia, Albania, Andorra, United Kingdom, including Jersey, Anguilla, British Virgin Islands, Gibraltar, the member states of the European Union, Iceland, Canada, Liechtenstein, Micronesia, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Republic of Korea, San Marino, North Macedonia, Singapore, USA, Taiwan, Ukraine, Montenegro, Switzerland, Japan."

Russia lists Taiwan as being part of China.

That's what wumao or the Chinese 50 Cent Army like to use as an excuse, that all criticism towards China is demeaning to commonfolk.
Blame the government, not ordinary people.

Chinese citizens are bombarded all day every day with messages about how the west hates them and wants to destroy them, but that they're really just jealous over how excellent life is in China.

And, imo, that kind of propaganda has made the Chinese the most racially and culturally prejudiced people on the planet. They're even prejudiced toward each other; the less Han you are, the less human you are. And they have a really narrow standard of beauty too.
 
I didn't watch all those videos or look at all those links. Not all Russians are in favor of Putin or the invasion of Ukraine. Even people who currently live in Moscow are protesting the war. Russians in America are more likely to enjoy our way of life and reject living under an authoritarian dictator like Putin, that's why they are here.

This is just like when Asians were attacked, beaten and even killed because certain racist thugs were spewing violent rhetoric about them bringing the virus here or concocting it in a lab to kill Americans. Same when Mexicans were being harassed and attacked because some ignorant loudmouth was saying they're all rapists, criminals and drug dealers. Racist thugs will use any excuse to attack all people of color like Mexicans, black Americans, Asians, Indians, etc. Sad but true, they are ignorant angry people, too many of those in the US.

I can't really take credit for this since that's what they are really called.
An army of internet propagandists employed by the CCP. Internet usage is heavily monitored and a regular person needs to have their ID registered in order to gain access. There is no anonymity. All western social media platforms and VPNs are actively blocked and yet you see wumao everywhere on Twitter defending their country to the death. A stark contrast to how we can freely criticize our country for all the problems we have but still recognize and express love to our country and its constitution. Wumao says China is perfect and can do no wrong. But I digress. I won't post anymore about this as it has little to do with the topic and it will just further the divide.

I am just wondering if the Chinese deep water seaport crews are buying the American jealousy yarn? How jealous can us poor as church mice Americans be if we have the cash to buy a hundred billion metric tons of their crap that their own relatives get paid the equivalent of 3 cents a day to produce? Oh I forgot their benevolent gubmint loans us their money to buy their goods, lolol, yeah, that sounds logical.

I stake no claim on them and have never taken anyone to task about comments, pro or con, yay or nay. You're not dividing anything here so please do what you do best, say what's on your mind. There's no denying that the CCP has gained power through communism, off of the backs of hard working people who get paid nickels and dimes. The government benefits from our greed and has gained a foothold in many first world countries, buying up land and resources, wrecking poor countries' economies. Chinese government is heavily and rightfully criticized by many first and third world countries. So I'd say race and culture has nothing to do with it. Ask Taiwanese or Thai people (where I spent years learning the language) and they'll tell you the same thing.

I feel you Murrmurr. Some time ago on one of the global skyscraper forums a member from Japan remarked about how malnourished the Chinese and North Korean soldiers looked in official, documentary and promotional pictures and videos. So if that's the case as he stated the Chinese military being the largest conventional warfare component on the planet must be eating well considering what they would look like if they didn't get three daily hots and a cot. This from the third most powerful nuclear capable nation with the globes 4th most powerful and fastest supercomputer the infamous Sunway TaihuLight. Superchip or Chinese fried rice?
