You suspect? OK, but to say that is telling about you.

I'm aware that gas prices have been higher in many places around the world vs. the U.S.. I wonder if it's because many other countries have much better mass transportation.I have to point out that.........Gasoline prices are increasing in MANY countries around the world, not just in the USA. Petroleum is a world wide trade item. The price per barrel floats on a daily basis, just like the price of gold does. The price of gas in the US is not out of line with prices in other first world nations. JImB.
Much of the price difference country to country is just differences in fuel taxes, or in some countries subsidies. The real cost of the product is similar worldwide.I'm aware that gas prices have been higher in many places around the world vs. the U.S.. I'm very sorry you were spoken to on this forum in this manner. It's very undeserving. I have a feeling that the person who attacked you is financially set without a worry in that department and/or lacks general empathy. You suspect? OK, but to say that is telling about you.
There are, have been and always will be a few businesses that take advantage of situations.I'm sure that there are some businesses raising their prices excessively....but with most people paying close attention to prices, now, such businesses probably will lose a lot of their customers. Inflation is showing no signs of slowing down, and the Biggest concern may be a turn into a Recession if more and more people can't afford to support these rising prices.
Obviously, I was correct! Get a book on Economics 101 at the library and learn something great about our country! You suspect? OK, but to say that is telling about you.
