Sock and a sock or sock and a shoe?

Hear hear, why would anyone do anything else!
Ok, let's say you're sitting in a chair...you raise your left leg and rest it across your right thigh to pull on your sock, then put that leg down and lift the other to put on the other sock, put that one down, lift the left leg again to put on your shoe, then the right one again to put on the other shoe.

That's 4 times you gotta go through that routine. I only have to do it twice. The left sock and shoe, the right sock and shoe, and I'm done. Meet you outside, and you bring the beer 'cause I won!

My Granny told me when I was a little boy and putting a sock
and a shoe on the same foot while the other one was still bare,
brought bad luck to you, so since then I never tried it again.

Socks first then shoes.

Mike.

Tis true I'm pretty slow getting my clobber on! :)

Never heard about the luck thing, (a thread should be started on things folks say might bring bad luck and maybe why,...., and if no one else does maybe I'll be the boy to do it, and perhaps we'll learn about the bad things that have happened to those "Sock and Shoe" people!). :)
