My cats make my day

Yes, I am very self-indulgent in posting pics of my two boys, Bugsy and Andy. But they do brighten my day. They meet me at the bedroom door when I wake up, and in the late afternoon when I watch TV they are always on my lap... until the playing begins.

This is Andy with his nose buried in Bugsy right before he begins to play-bite him and the whole thing goes sideways! Anyone who has cats will understand.

Your Bugsy is a look-alike of my favorite cat, Beansy, that I rescued at birth. Smartest little kitty in the world and I know she considered me to be her mother.
Bugsy is a very rare Bombay/Manx mix, so he is black through and through, has a round muzzle, big eyes, no tail and personality galore. Bugsy fits him to a tee. I found him on Petfinder. He had only been with his foster for 3 weeks. His previous owner had passed away. He was 6 years old when we adopted him and is smart as a whip. Bombays are like "velcro cats" for one particular person, and I am fortunate enough to be that person!

We only paid adoption fees for Bugsy, whereas purebred Bombay kittens typically go for $500-$700. I always say that even if I have less time with him than if I'd adopted a kitten it will be worth every minute.

Congratulations on finding your lovely fur-child! My Beansy was born the day after I took in a stray. She dropped several infants, ate some, and left this one between my son's bed and the wall. I found her flattened, cold, and presumed dead, but tried a little CPR on her and she revived. She was reared in the crook of my shoulder blade, nestled in my hair. She was too small or weak to suckle from the formula bottles, so she sipped from the shallow of my fingernail. To say that she had all of my attention and my heart is an understatement. She never got to be a "normal" size, but what she lacked in body, she made up in brains. She was the only kitty I knew who would actively initiate interactive play. Her favorite resting spot remained around my neck. Sigh. I miss her terribly.

Oh they are beautiful! I love cats and always have had at least one. The last four years I have been catless because I have a rabbit instead. I miss having a cat but I can only have one pet. Sadly, I think he will be my last pet. But if I can't stand it (I have always had pets) I will adopt a cat. I repost cats available at my local shelter daily on fakebook and every single one I see I want.

I can relate to the play-biting thing gone astray. My two cats have a complex love-hate relationship. They take turns licking each other’s heads and faces back and forth until the male decides to throw in a dominance move like a bite or immobilization hold. Then it’s howl and hiss time! I get out of the way; I still have a healing claw wound… 🙀

Ouch! What type of cats do you have. I have a 3 yr old ragdoll that is a baby and a 6 month old persian that has an attitude at times

So glad you shared the pictures of your beautiful cats. I left Texas with a beautiful Manx cat. Most days he left a new treat for me at the front door, something I hadn't experienced with previous cats.

I had a really smart cat from the time she was 8 weeks old. She had my attention whenever I wasn't at work. I think all that playing and so forth help to develop her mind. I basically taught her everything a cat should know (from a book) and she took it from there.I didn't know one thing about cats when she was given to me, so I probably went way overboard. She was a real practical joker.
