A commercial bus driver has been charged with 38 counts of reckless endangerment after blacking out behind the steering wheel while snacking on gummies infused with THC.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — A commercial bus driver has been charged with 38 counts of reckless endangerment after blacking out behind the steering wheel while snacking on gummies he says he didn’t know were infused with THC.

Jinhuan Chen appeared Tuesday in Bridgeport Superior Court after being arrested at his home in Boston.

Well I can believe that someone who has English as a second language might not know that Smokies Edibles Cannabis Infused Fruit Chews contained weed, but where did he buy them? Don't you have to go to a special marijuana store to buy these things?

The kids were all probably wondering why he was driving so very slooowly.

I can imagine that. :) But, that situation could be potentially deadly. I found out that SECIFC gummies can be strong Indica, which if taken too much WILL put you to sleep. This has big ramifications. No one should do anything but go to bed after using this kind of THC. In states with rec. use, anybody could be ready to nod off doing very important work. I don't like the sound of this. They are going to have to use warning labels on some of the potent new pot products probably.
 

Obviously a very graphic warning label needs to be put on them. I think they come in special wrappers and need to have a label on them too. This seems like an easy mistake to happen. What can they do for kids that might find them.

Yes. Maybe he was too high to remember.

Around here, they're labeled sort of like a Rx, and they say "Keep out of reach of Children." But for a lot of children, that's a big green light.
 
How many of us would have known we were gulping MJ candy, if the contents were written in Chinese? That said, you're not buying those gummies in a Walmart, either. Plus Chen's great work record was reported by his boss, Mr. Chen.
 
I had some interviews recently or applied for jobs .... in both they STRESSED the fact that even if legal in my state NOT ok for job and they do drug test ..... no problem...
i was thinking they were overly emphasizing this but spoke to a few people and they said it is harder and harder to find non users in states where legal.

perhaps he did not know maybe a roommate/ spouse bought them were in house..... Markings on packages are OFTEN not read.
My daughters co-worker bought some of the alcohol type seltzers .... when his grandma visited........... she did not read assumed they were seltzer waters after drinking 2 she was concerned she was dizzy and thought she was having a stroke begged to go to hospital they figured it out before the trip to ER.....
innocent mistake?? ... maybe but more then a few people are unaware of is it .... a kids candy or infused
is it non -alcohol or not.......
Remember a story where a man was arrested as he bought a hard lemonade for a child at a ball park ....
he as a non drinker ............... did not understand it was alcohol thought it was lemonade.....
