What brand of bread do you use?

I too like Dave's Killer bread. I have to watch some seed things when it comes to my stomach. I usually get the 'white bread done right'

Or I'll get bread at Trader Joe's or an Oroweat organic or something.

This popular brand of fluffy white bread makes me smile.

It's from a Mexican company that has acquired several bakeries in my area.

Bimbo is a famous name...acquired by Flowers. Flowers is a huge company, unique

Bimbo is a well known bakery distribution company...it was acquired by Flowers which is an old, very well known company - for paying great dividends and has even increased them in deep recessions:

I use Aldi's Fit and Active Multi-Grain bread (45 calories per slice) for sandwiches. Aldi also has several varieties of a knock-off to Dave's Killer Bread which I also like for toast. Best bread is what I make at home in the bread machine but I have been too lazy to pull it out lately.

Bunny bread. I like just plain white, soft bread. I'm not a fan of biting into bread and it has crunchy stuff in it. Besides, all the fancy breads are way too expensive for me.
I don't eat bread, but I still remember the Bunny Bread commercials from when I was a kid!

Trust me, if you have a stand mixer and flour, salt, surgar, yeast, milk and butter you can make a bread better than what we buy in the store. My favorite bread is homemade English Muffin bread, Found the recipe on the web, so easy and so good. I make 3 loaves at a time and put two in the freezer.

I thought thin sliced bread was no longer available, but I have found a bakery which will slice your loaf any thickness you wish. It tastes much better than mass produced too.

We are not supposed to eat white bread now that we are both T2 diabetics. So it's Arnolds whole grain, whole wheat, small slice, yada, yada stuff

Dave's Killer bread seeded with lots of grains. Also many different brands of rye bread -right now I have 2 different kinds of Schwebel's. One is American Rye and the other is Seeded Deli Rye.

I try other brands that look good too.

Arnold's Big Whole Grains 100% Whole Wheat. Has become hard in my neighborhood to get "American" bread. Like the European style uncut loaves but afraid of waste. I love bread. Never saw some of the brands mentioned here.

We're supposed to get a break from the heat tomorrow and the next day so today I'll start up dough to bake four round loaves tomorrow. Whole wheat with rosemary fresh from our garden.

After the loaves cool overnight, I cut them in half, wrap tightly in Saran, and stash them in the freezer in ziplock bags.

I took my last half loaf out of our freezer yesterday afternoon so the timing is perfect.

While half a loaf is better than none, a bunch of half loaves in the freezer is better still!

@StarSong i didn’t include, in my original post, my other favorite which is the bread *I* bake! I don’t use a bread machine (always wanted one) but I have a couple of no knead recipes that produces a delicious, crusty loaf that Ron could eat at one sitting! I’ve posted here before about that.

I aspire to spend the day baking bread, like you, and having a stockpile!!

Your bread looks gorgeous, Ronni!

Cobb’s is a Canadian chain that make hand-crafted breads. At the end of the day, nothing sold is donated to charities. Lots of grains & seeds in many of their products. There are no preservatives and it’s definitely more expensive. If I’m near one, I often pick up a loaf. You definitely know you have a more substantial product by the weight of your bag when you leave the store.

I see they have a couple of Cobb’s in Connecticut now.
