What brand of bread do you use?

Home-milled home made. Two loaves just out of the oven from freshly milled hard white wheat with toasted sesame seeds.

In the realm of store bought bread we used to live near an Orowheat outlet store. Would buy their winter wheat variety. I have never seen this in a regular store. Anyone know if it's still made?

When I were a lad, there were basically two loaves - plain and pan. Don't know about a 'pan' loaf - my mother never bought them, but I still buy 'Scottish plain loaves' - either 'Alba' or 'Mother's pride'. I do however prefer a wholemeal seeded loaf, and the Morrisons own brand is my preferred one.

Food products over the last 2 decades have been advertising a lack of wheat gluten as a health benefit. I'm not one that has any of the warned issues so have continued to eat as much bread, cake, pies, donuts, pastries, French bread, cereal, sandwiches, and more as I've always done. However since I'm seeing increasing numbers of ads proclaiming no gluten in their products, will add this post for some balance since those with issues are a limited minority. Am also not one that has issues eating sugar. But then am not free from food issues as I totally avoid any products containing Mono Sodium Glutamate, aka MSG, or caffeine. And given my tender palate, avoid swallowing peppers or spicy foods including just about all Asian Indian dishes.

I buy diff breads too. Depends on my moods.
I did buy a really fresh loaf of Winco brand whole wheat bread last time.

Also, at times I'll buy San Francisco's (i think) sourdough sliced bread. A honey wheat bread is pretty good and healthy.
I haven't had any bread in a week or so, and I'm starting to crave it.

I've started buying Price Rite split top wheat bread. About two weeks ago, a loaf went for $1.29. Price Rite supermarket is a "sister" to Shoprite supermarket, which is larger. Occasionally I buy Pepperidge Farm Swirl raisin bread, which I freeze because I don't eat it that often.

I am an avid baker and I have been making my own bread for a long time. I bake exclusively with whole grains and whole grain flours and I buy my whole wheat flour in 20 kg bags from the mill a few blocks from my house. I purchase other flours in smaller amounts and store them in the freezer. I use wheat, rye, and oat flours the most. I like adding cooked grains too.
