I used to study, accompanied by music. The way I could tell I was really concentrating was that soon, I no longer heard the music. Even though I don't have ADHD, I do have the ability to easily slip into hyper-concentration. I can talk to people during it and sound reasonable, but I don't remember the conversations. Nor do I remember to eat. The longest I can concentrate like that is 12 hours. I don't like it. I especially don't like it because I can't listen to audio books while I'm driving long distances. Never had any problems when I zone out while driving, but it is scary to think about what could happen.Listeningto music

Well, I don't zone out any more. I can't listen to audio books, but I can listen to music while driving. Mostly I concentrate on what the drivers around me are doing. Road trips are really boring, but I'd rather be bored than get into an accident. Then you might be singing Mozart's Twinkle, Twinkle little Star.![]()
