What a saint this woman is, but I understand how she loves him so much. I would deal with anything to hear those purrs. What a loving boy, and she made his life happy for as long as she could. This made me cry.

True animal people know how much a pet can bring to their lives. My husband did not know until I went an adopted a little dog at a local Petsmart adoption day.

He had been diagnosed with a terminal cancer. I had grown up with pets and knew what I difference they can make in your life. Well, let me tell you he was not happy about what I had done. It was not my intention, I had gone to get something for my Mom's dog, one she had stolen from me. LOL. I just realized what my former dog meant to her.

This was over a July 4th holiday, my husband had another chemo treatment that Monday. On tuesday, I went to work and came home at lunch to make him soup and a sandwich. That little dog was up there in the bed and came at me like he would tear my throat out if I bothered my husband. Needless to say, got home that evening and found out who's dog that was.

They became the best of friends, Oz was the great and powerful thing he needed in his life. My husband did not know a pet can give so much love you can face any challenge. This little dog made everything in our home happy.

Through all the hard times the hospital stays and surgeries, the first thing my husband would ask when he was coherent was where is Oz, is he okay?

Our sweet boy passed about 5 years after my husband. If there is a heaven we will all be together again. Of course, the 3 pups I have now will be with us. I don't think he will be upset with me now. He will love them just like I do.

Thank you for sharing this, I cried too. Bless that woman, I wish everyone had such a warm and loving heart when it comes to animals. Kudos to her hubby too for agreeing to take on a kitty so sickly, knowing adjustments would need to be make with their other pets. May he rest peacefully, wonderful that he experienced love until the very end.
