In 30 years from now, what do you think people will be making fun of the 2020s?

Everybody makes, fun of the disco era, with its wide bell bottoms, etc. When you see old pics, you know if they're from the 30s, 40s, 50s........ Each era had distinctive clothes, hair styles, In 30 years from now, what do you think people will be making fun of the 2020s?
For me, I think people will be chuckling over full body tats.

the woke and snowflake culture

Unfortunately, it will probably be defined for reasons we should all look back at in shame. The lack of respect for others and their beliefs such as being "woke" as only one example. It seems that this time will be remembered for the need to label and vilify those that don't see things the way some do. It surely won't be remembered for compassion or tolerance. By the way, being woke is simply being realistic about what is happening and speaking the truth. It is a pity more can't or won't become awakened.

In 30 years? ... probably all those tats, but I won't care.😜

There is a lot of pain involved in getting tats. I have 4 - they are tiny black dots, used to help guide radiation beams for my cancer. I can't imagine getting a tattoo because of the pain involved. Four tiny dots is nothing when compared to how many needle sticks one gets from an actual tattoo.

Like Pinky I'll be long gone so for now, I don't think they will be making fun of very much. More like wishing they were living in the era of plenty. Or not if the thread of what I couldn't get at the grocery store this week is a taste of what to expect.

In a 2008 article in the peer-reviewed journal Energy Policy, it was predicted that coal, oil and gas would run out in 107, 35, and 37 years, respectively. That prediction means that after the year 2042, coal would be the only fossil fuel remaining until 2117.

A 2019 publication from the Millennium Alliance for Humanity and the Biosphere at Stanford University paints a similar picture. According to the MAHB, the world’s oil reserves will run out by 2052, natural gas by 2060 and coal by 2090.

The U.S. Energy Information Association said in 2019 that the United States has enough natural gas to last 84 years. However, this could change depending on how much is actually produced and changes in estimated amounts of ā€œtechnically recoverable resourcesā€. TRR includes the amount of natural gas estimated to be produced as well as estimates of the amount that’s ā€˜technically recoverable’ based on current technology, ā€œwithout consideration of economics or operating conditionsā€.

People who drive fossil fuel cars.

And that we didn't have these

Hmm, to see ourselves as future others will see us...we like to make fun of old phones, maybe somehow our current phones will seem funny to future people. I think we already make fun of that full-lips fad. Maybe all the guys will start wearing makeup and future guys will laugh at the plain faced previous guys.

  • The crappy, boring music.
  • Lithium ion battery powered cars where the cost of the battery is half the price of the car and they take up the entire underside of the vehicle. Solid state batteries should be perfected in 30 years.
  • The stupid "thriller" movies where the main character can beat up 30 villains in one, long, non-stop fight.

The insurrection and attempted coup will no doubt be talked about along with all the crazy conspiracy theories that went mainstream and became the platform of one of a of our major political parties. Whether or not those events will be made fun of depends on the state of our country 30 years from now. People might instead be saying that we should have done something.

I love this question because I often wonder how people will consider us as being primitive 100 years from now. . People seem to mainly make fun of the previous generations style so I would say 30 years from now they will laugh at our hairstyles and clothing and probably be safe in doing so. For my long shot guess, I think they will laugh about all the cords we have to use now to hook up our devices.

It won't be long before today's young people will be condemning us for the absolute mess we are making. Politicians never seem to consider the consequences of their actions, and our grandchildren will have to deal with current twisted thinking. They are already suffering with the drop in standards in education and health care.
