Shane Bartek, 25, was killed New Year's Eve 2021 in a carjacking by a woman, 18. Her name is Tamara McLoyd. She is facing life imprisonment.

The killing was caught on video at the apartment complex on Rocky River Dr. on Cleveland's west side. The officer was off duty and shot in the back.

Motive? Evil is motivational itself.
She seems to have had lots of problems. Makes you wonder what she was doing on the street at all. She certainly doesn't deserve to ever be again ( https://www.news5cleveland.com/news...ts-scrutiny-on-ohios-reclaim-juvenile-program )

As News 5 previously reported, court and police records show McLoyd has been in and out of trouble for years in the juvenile court system.

It started in 2017 when a then-14-year-old McLoyd was found delinquent in Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court on assault charges and was sentenced to probation, according to county records.

A year later, those records show McLoyd was back in trouble, charged with domestic violence. Once again, court records show she was sentenced to probation.

In 2020, Cleveland police said McLoyd punched a woman in the face outside a cookout in the city's Hough neighborhood, then returned with a gun and shot at the woman.

Records show that case was later dismissed, but not before McLoyd was back in trouble.

In October 2020, a Kipton man told Lorain County deputies that two men pulled guns on him and robbed him in his home after meeting with a woman he messaged on the dating website "Plenty of Fish."

Investigators said the woman was a then-17-year-old McLoyd.

Court records show the teen cut a deal with prosecutors and again received probation on October 28, 2021.

It's sad she's been in trouble so much. She never seems to learn her lesson. Now she's in Big time trouble. She surely knows better than to do what she did. I'm afraid it will be life in prison for her and I believe she deserves it.

how long until we have these career criminals claim
"if only i was punished the first time i would not have continued and escalated each time."

I am tired of these stories where they were not only given second third fourth etc chances but they continue thinking they are untouchable .... obviously this is how she would end up only sad that she had to take a life to make others see what she is....

If it's proven in court she did what she is accused of; I don't see any reason why she shouldn't serve her sentence. The fact that she killed an off duty policeman vs. an ordinary citizen doesn't seem to make a difference. It's kind of sketchy what happened, the news reports assume you're familiar with the case.

She was found Guilty of all charges today-murder, felonious assault of a police officer, robbery, etc. She will be sentenced in September at which time it will be determined if she is allowed parole. I think she'll get a life sentence. I hope Officer Barteks family gets some satisfaction with this. Surely doesn't bring him back, though 😓

behind a paywall for me :(

I'm happy I am probably too old to do jury duty. I did it when I was only 21ys old. It was rape incest and corrupting the morals of a minor. After all these years I still remember the accused person's name and address. He was found guilty and he deserved it. After that trial they needed jurors for another murder trial, they told us to call home and have someone pack us our clothing fortunately I didn't get accepted for that one.

Evil Bi🤬 needs to be sentenced to life.

No doubt her lawyers will say she was high or has a mental condition.
Yes I heard she was drunk and on crack at the time.
