Why is it that this site only, is so slow to open ? And I must use "open in new tab" to log on slowly for everything .... including individule threads ?

All the other sites i visit daily , are working fine .

I have the problem here with opening videos. I have to wait and wait and wait. Have to stay off some of my favorite musical threads because of this.

I am having a problem with trying to post photos. The option it pulls up, "My Pictures" is not showing the new pictures, but they show up everywhere else.

I haven't noticed that, but I lost my internet protection and had to stay on the phone and computer all night while it was resolved with the help of my internet protection technician. Possibly the problem started a little sooner than I thought when I was at the forum, as I remember before getting in the recliner that when I clicked on my protection service a circle just went around and around. I was about to sign off of the forum for the night when I had to turn my computer off and back on while at the forum and then go back to the forum to see if I needed to sign out, as I couldn't do that before turning my computer on and off. Nothing seemed unusual at the forum, I'd just read a post from One Eyed Diva, and then Blessed and then Ruthanne posted, and I think there was a link, but I didn't click on it. At the end of the night, I always refer back to my internet protection and it didn't work. I called my internet protection service technician, and although and it took hours, all set up again.

You could try clearing your cache, but other than that, it may just be one of the mysteries of life. I have trouble with another site — so much so that I had to stop using it. Who knows?

Try using a different browser to see if you still have the same problem. If you do, it's probably an issue with your ISP.

That has happened to me also at times and then I would log onto Google and then log into the site that was giving me problems and the site comes in good.

Oh, I forgot to write that I've seen some hesitation when moving to a new thread, and a few times the screen going blank, or black, for a minute. I sign in without any trouble but had trouble signing out some. For the longest I didn't know how to get rid of the reply box, if necessary, but finally someone told me in the last day or so and it's easy. I was at times leaving the box open and moving on, but I had asked, and I guess other people didn't know how either.

These things can happen for no apparent reason.
I have a site that is currently unusable( for me) and their tech guys don’t seem interested in investigating the problem.
i had issues with this site a while back.
They resolved just as suddenly as they appeared.

I am with Apple Mac so not too familiar any more with Windows and was wondering exactly what 'internet protection' is and why does it need a technician.

This all seems to me to be a malware or virus problem in which case a computer cleaner would clear that up.
When I was on Windows I found CC Cleaner to be very effective when I had problems such as you are describing.

Just a thought....

Well .... it seems to be working as it should now .... working fine.

Many thanks to the admins , if they worked their magic ?

I've had issue the past week when I'm on my phone. I have 5G but have a hard time getting it to load. I've tried all the tricks and nothing. Any other site works fine and I have no issued when at home on WiFi. Oh well, I guess somr invisible force doesn't want me to visit the site when away from home

Can't complain. Remember dial up? EEEEEAHAHAHAHTHUN THUMERRRRRRRRRRR then get dropped in the middle of a download. The good old days, eh"

I don't have a problem, either. So. it's got to be rgp's device. And I have no idea how to fix it.

All my other sites were working just fine, so I doubt that it was my device. And after i asked the question here it was corrected. I assume the admins worked their magic ??

I doubt it, since no one else was having that problem. But who knows.

If your OS is Windows, you can go the Start menu, and under Windows Administrative Tools, you can run Defragment and Optimize Drives and Disk Clean-up.

If that doesn't help, you can download some free software: CCleaner, BleachBit, and Wise Registry Cleaner. I've used these for years, no problems. CCleaner and Wise both clean the registry, but I run both because there are still things to clean up after I run one of them. Wise also has an optimize your computer thing, which is good to run.

With Bleachbit, don't check boxes next to passwords (browser and email), and don't check index or index files in your email client. There is no need for you to run, under System, free disk space. It doesn't free up space, it simply shreds deleted files. It takes awhile, so it's best to do that when you don't need the computer.

You can also run your Windows Defender and any anti-virus programs you may have. Malware Bytes is free, and also a good thing to download and run.

Not arguing as you sound very knowledgeable. But again, if the problem is on my end ? ........ why would I not have the same problem with other sites ? And why would the question poised here .... end that problem ?

Just for the "heck" of it .... I decided to try as you suggest ..... I cannot find the catagory / any of the catagories you noted in any of my menues. ? I have looked in "settings" ... "system" ..."tools" , etc. Everywhere i can think of.

My system is "windows 10 " .
