Wonder what is next for him ? The FBI says , without a doubt the trigger on the gun in question , in the on-set shooting ..... had to be pulled in order for the gun to discharge, and to shoot the young lady shot. He [Baldwin] maintains his statement that he did not pull the trigger.

Speculation ....... Did she have [something] on him ? To the point that he felt she needed to be eliminated ? Or, did someone else ? and was he set-up ?

I am not pointing the finger of blame at anyone , merely asking questions. But there are many "hinkey" aspects of the story/incident that IMO need to be investigated , and dealt with in the legal system. Which "might" just mean someone is @ fault ...... and should be dealt with.

Don't know what's next... we'll see.

My best guess is that he did pull the trigger, perhaps unknowingly. Either way I don't think he intended to shoot anyone, it was just a freak and unfortunate set of events.

However had he followed industry guidelines, common sense, or good gun safety the bullet would not have struck anyone.

Just my not very informed speculation.

That would make a great "Murder, She Wrote" - "Perry Mason" - "Matlock" or "Columbo" episode, but doubtful that someone would concoct such a plot in Real Life.
 
Yes, the "armorer" who is a lady will prob be charged eventually, due to the abundance of live ammo....those folks
that worked the set were going out in the desert with the
guns and just having a grand ole time.........:mad:

OK,OK .... Maybe I'm too cynical , but that guy [Baldwin] is just a slime-ball IMO ....
 
This is one of those tragic life lessons where if you can't be a shining example you'll have to be a horrible warning.

From the moment this terrible accident hit the news, surely EVERY film production company with weapons on the set instituted a series of checks, double checks and triple checks to be sure this doesn't happen again.

I don't think Alec Baldwin carries the lion's share of the blame here. By the very nature of film making, actors must rely on crew members to ensure safe props, sets, rigging, lights, and so forth. If every person in front of the camera was held personally liable for every aspect of every set, it would take many years to produce every movie.

Whether Baldwin is an a-hole or slime ball isn't the issue. The question is whether he was responsible for verifying that the professional armorer had done her job.

It's not difficult to imagine the chaos and trauma immediately after that poor woman was shot, and people's witnessing abilities (even when they have nothing to lose by telling the truth) have been proven to be notoriously poor.

If Baldwin says he doesn't think he fired the shot, I believe that he doesn't think he did.
That doesn't change the (apparent) reality that he did indeed fire it.

Well ....... hard to argue your points. Throwing blame around now really achieves nothing. I'm just not sure we have been told everything involved.

IMO, in the future, the actor that is to handle the gun/shoot the gun, should be the only one to load the gun period, and should be required to unload the gun at the end of each scene involving the gun. That can't cost anything extra, and take only mere minutes of time.
