Oscar Mayer comes out with hot dog-flavored popsicle

It sounds like these big companies are grooming us to get our food ( meat, vegetables, fruit, etc....) from popsicles! Kind of like the Jetsons only eating a pill for their whole dinner. Or astronauts eating that liquid food while in space. Will there be real food in the future? :)

Well, there are already plenty of people who figure "supplements" can replace food.

Aww - -c'mon now Diva. Don't go pickin' on one of my favorite foods. I can't quite get past combining them with Popsicle's
However, a couple of 'dogs in buns smothered in mayo and relish - -FOLLOWED by a pop could make my day !!:LOL:

Let me tell you a story...well a couple of them. I'll preface it by saying hot dogs used to be one of our favorite meals when my son was young. But then my hormones kicked in and changed that. :LOL: I invited my husband to go in the field with me on at least two occasions. I was on solo assignment a couple of counties away. The first time, we stopped at a McDonalds that had started serving hot dogs. He was hungry and excited to get a hot dog. I informed him that he couldn't sit with me when he ate it and told him why. So he sat far enough away so I couldn't smell it.

The second hot dog event. I was on a field stop and we passed a hot dog truck. A co-worker used to refer to it as "the dirty little hot dog man". My husband said he was going to get a hot dog. I said "You can't eat it in the car!" So there he stood outside of the car eating.

Now I will close by saying that there were two hot dog joints in our area at different times in my life. One was a deli and we'd walk several blocks to get their hot dogs with potato salad. No the potato salad was not on the side...it was on the dog! Soooo good...at least back then when I was a teen. The second place was known for their hot dogs with chunky chili sauce. We'd frequent that too because their hot dogs were also delicious, even remained customers when they went to another town. I was an adult then. That was then...this is now. :sick:

As long as we can grow it, we will still be able to eat real food. My dad used to envy the Jetsons. He often said if he could just take a pill instead of eating a meal, he would. Except for a few things he really enjoyed, of course.

Why would anyone eat a hotdog popsicle? Except that they are frozen, a box of those would make a great gag gift for some people, and that's it.
 
And the winner for creating the food industry's version of the Ford Edsel IS,,,,,,,,,,,,,Oscay Meters's Hot Dog Popsicle. !!!!YEAH!!!!!!!.

You really think men are going to walk around sucking on what looks like a hot dog?????????? A meat popsicle?????
