Would you pay 17,000 dollars for this kind of shower?

An educated consumer does research before purchasing..
Did they?
Seems extravagant!🙄

I see them advertised. I had no idea they can cost that much. I guess if someone had the money, they can spend it on that. I sure never would.

We have friends that bought one, not sure how much it cost, but they have buyers remorse.

Our friends said that the tub is hard to clean, you can't stretch out your legs and you have to wait for the water to completely drain before opening the door, which they said can get chilly at times. Maybe they should have added the heated seat option.

I have friends that had this kind of shower installed for 17,000 dollars and I don't think I would pay that money for this shower.

Sounds about what I figured, given their ad offers a $1500 "discount".
Years ago a co-worker installed a tub like this for his wife.....she hated it....so he tore it back out.

If I had a spare $17,000 laying around, I'd get the whole bathroom redone.......

Earlier this year we got an estimate from a Home Depot contractor to do the shower, tile the floor, paint etc. Got a quote of around $25,000.
Needless to say, I did part of the remodel, hired a real tile contractor and have maybe $7,000 into it.

Nope. Not only can you not recoup your money from those tubs when selling your house, they actually devalue your house because the first thing new owners do is rip it out and install a standard tub or shower.

I'm a shower person anyway. My last bath was decades ago. I don't even like hot tubs.

We had a quote for $14,300 just to redo our shower. I responded to an ad about bathroom remodeling. When the individual arrived to give us the quote I told him we wanted to redo the cabinets, counter, sink, shower, all but the floor and toilet both of which were less than 2 years old. He said they only did showers and I told him I was not interested. He said, well I am here, let me give you a quote anyways. I said ok and the for just a new shower - $14,300!! Crazy

Our water heater broke about 2 years. We abandoned our shower ( a small $300 unit ), and now sponge bath, or bathe in a kiddy pool in the forest after the sun heats up the water. :)
