Not enough exercise when I was young, too much carbs and sugary crap, not enough sleep working night shifts.Did you do things in your youth that now your senior body is paying the price? Hindsight is so much clearer.
Maybe you pushed yourself to lift heavy items just because you could.
Did without adequate sleep.
Too many diets. Wrong daily diet.
Too much exercise.
whaaaattt?... is it even possible to drink 30 cups of coffee in a day ?Waitressing, now bad knees.
Using a standing desk instead of sitting. Standing/pacing while teaching instead of sitting. Now "incompetent perforators" (busted veins) in my legs. Maybe it was better than the evils of sitting though.
I was able to lift heavy weights while exercising. Developed problems that led to my not being able to have s** now. Weight training might or might not be a cause.
I was a heavy smoker. I drank 30 cups of coffee a day. Neither seems to have caught up to me. Yet.
I always said I had a cast iron stomach. Now it's rusted out.![]()
that's me NOW... not when I was young..Not enough exercise when I was young, too much carbs and sugary crap, not enough sleep working night shifts.
Yes I suppose, but that would pre-suppose you were always at home ..never went anywhere..Sure. You're awake for 16 hours, 2 cups per hour, it's entirely possible.
No the question was about when you were young...not what you're doing NOW!Sex, Drugs and Rock & Roll
Drinkin', Carousin' and livin' a life of sin
LoL
I WISH!No the question was about when you were young...not what you're doing NOW!![]()
I worked from home for 15 years. Worked in restaurants for years. Student, college teacher, stay-at-home mother -- lots of opportunities to drink coffee!Yes I suppose, but that would pre-suppose you were always at home ..never went anywhere..
Other than possibly having a few more wrinkles due to a smoking habit from my late teens through age 30, I wouldn't say I'm paying a price for youthful activities.
Despite normal wear and tear, my 70 year old body seems to be holding up pretty well.

In this photo I was 41, rollerskating with my daughter at her birthday party. Before you get too impressed, my mother was 71 and also rollerskated during the party. Neither of us fell, though my husband was in all modes of freak out until he finally convinced my mother to remove her skates!Aside from the fact I thought I could roller skate in my 40's (hip) and repair a roof in my 70's (back) I am doing OK.

My senior body is saying that I've been alive too long.Did you do things in your youth that now your senior body is paying the price? Hindsight is so much clearer.

Beautiful photo of you, @StarSong ! Your mother seems to be enjoying herself tremendously! I tried roller skating once in my 20s. Fell down so many times, I never tried it again. In this photo I was 41, rollerskating with my daughter at her birthday party.
