Water, how many glasses do you drink daily?

How many should we drink daily, and do we actually do it?
Maybe I should get into the habit of drinking more water. Remember though most fresh fruit consists of more than 80% water. I eat an apple, pear, orange, nectarine, banana, plum and a hand full of grapes, every day.

You can tell if you are dehydrated, the signs are visible in your urine. Dark and strong smelling urine is a clear sign that you need to drink more fluids.

Well put Horseless carriage. It seems that from post war research, it was concluded that about 4 pints of FLUID per day were needed for the maintenance of good health. However, it went on to say that the requirement for water can largely be made up by our normal daily food and drink intake. Unless you are in an environment where you are losing a lot of water, it is not usually necessary to drink more than a few extra glasses of liquid.

I drink 2 or 3 small glasses per day. More in hot weather.

Making sure to drink enough water every day ensures proper functioning of your metabolism, gives you better skin complexion and boosts energy levels.

I think that it's all too easy to get hung up on things. Oh, I must have my 5 a day, drink x pints of water, take my supplements etc... without thinking if there's a real need. Of course it's wise to have a healthy, varied diet and avoid dehydration, but I would suggest that your body is pretty good at letting you know what it needs.

I don't count calories, how much liquid I drink, how many portions of fruit & veg I eat, how many steps I take etc.. I just get on with life.
Everything in moderation (but a little of what you fancy does you good).

I'm on a bit of a health kick at the moment so drinking more than I did. I'm not measuring it though. I have a glass of water on it's own maybe 3 or 4 times a day and always have a glass when I have a coffee - so that's another 3 a day. Over the last month I've lost 9lbs and halved my morning blood sugar reading.

*I welcome you with open arms to skip over my topics, or the ones you see as insignificant.

It's really easy ya know. Now I am off to drink some water, BUT I will be back lol.

And yet when I suggested the same thing to those who don't care for politics ......... it seemed like such a laborious task. Hummmm
