I thought the Brits wanted to get Boris out of there. From over here, I can't tell which of the two is better (or worse). But it's good to know that the US is not the only country that has such a poor selection of leaders that the only consideration is which one isn't the worst.

Liz Truss was 100 times worse than Boris... Boris was very far from perfect but Truss was a Disaster.. far too young and inexperienced... we didn't vote her in..her own party did.. but then couldn't wait like the rest of the country to get rid of her.. because she was terrible at the job..

perhaps *P*... but currently the country is almost parity with the £1 ..dollar.. we now have energy prices only the rich can afford which means millions will have to choose heat or eat this winter .. Fuel prices altho' less than a few months ago are still through the roof.. at £1.62 per LITRE... and new mortages have had hundreds added to their repayments every month.. we have the lowest wages and State pensions in Europe .. I could go on and on.. but we're in big trouble..

I had heard some negative things about her but was still very shocked when I saw it in CNN this morning. Hope all in Great Britain are doing OK with it.

we're doing extremely fine with it.. couldn't have had better news for most of us.. but the concern is who is going to be leading the country this time next week..

While it might be fun to ridicule the current situation in the U.K., Trusst me when I say a debt of gratitude, should be extended to her and Kwarteng.

It exposed a deep flaw in the global financial system and it would be wise for politicians making their livelihoods on promises of more spending and tax relief, to be wary of the bond vigilantes, which are saying enough is enough, until inflation is checked.

I said it would be wise... not that it is likely to happen.
