Hypnopedia - Sleep learning. The act or process of learning during sleep by listening to recordings repeatedly.

The effectiveness of hypnopedia is mostly a myth, as sadder but wiser college students discover when they skip class sessions in favor of listening to recordings of them at night.

By my understanding, subliminal content doesn't typically refer to this kind of thing. For instance, subliminal advertising can be sexualized or reinforced content that people don't notice in the front of our minds, but our brains take note. These were some rather famous sexualized subliminal print ads.

I first heard of Hypnopedia when I was a child when my mother suggested I study for my exams by placing a tape recorder under my pillow.. She didn't help me by getting me a tape recorder however..
