Elon Musk's fortune has fallen by $110 billion in less than a year, but he's still the world's richest person

The Tesla CEO is worth about $209 billion, according to Forbes, after shares in his …

Glad I read the part that he is still worth 209 billion. I was thinking it would be kind to start a go fund me account for him.

That's funny!
You're cute, Knight!

I like Elon Musk because he said he
"has little interest in material trappings of wealth".
He has stepped out of the "he who has the most toys, wins" mindset
and is using his wealth to help mankind and space exploration, housing,
transportation, etc. He envisions future developments that others
don't even dream of or can't even imagine!

I was thinking what I would do with his money and I would be an idiot!
It would be nothing but a terrible burden.
He makes maximum use of his wealth in varied directions and
personally, I think it's remarkable!

Doesn't look like anyone hit Powerball last night......it's up to 680 million for the Wed. night drawing.

We didn't have one for last night but we'll probably pick up a couple of tickets today while we're out running around just for the heck of it........never can tell.

I wonder how much $$ he carries around with him?
Probably very little.

I have heard from people who work for very wealthy folk. They don't carry cash and many don't even bother with a credit or debit card. One lady I knew was a nanny to a multi-multi-multi millionaire's kids. On family outings the kids might ask for an ice cream cone. She had to pay for the ice cream because Mr. Millionaire had no cash or change on him. At other times she had to stuff cash into a parking lot pay box. Or pay for balloons sold at the county fair. She was paid very well and considered these expenditures as a work related expenses. I imagine she probably wrote them off at tax time.

Philanthropist Andrew Carnegie

During the last 18 years of his life, he gave away around $350 million (roughly $5.5 billion in 2021),[6] almost 90 percent of his fortune, to charities, foundations and universities

My brother said when Andrew got down to only 100 million dollars, he started getting 'edgy'. lol!

I saw some photos of Musk vacationing on a yacht with women who were nicely tanned. Having his shirt off, he looks very pale. With so much money, he ought to spend more time exposed under the Sun.

His financial loss is most likely only on paper.
