Maryland couple says strangers have moved into the home they just bought and refuse to leave.

It was on the news, and not stated in the article...that a law person, not sure..
think it was the sheriff..and he stated.."it's a civil matter".
Boy! when you can't even get the law to help?!?😟

Yes, who's responsibility is it on a foreclosed house?
The bank's?
I'd like to know more!
Seems..the news is just for sensation!...with no follow up!

Like..only half-truths!

I asked a friend of mine that’s a Virginia State Police. He said that it may be possible to charge them with trespassing, depending if the rightful owner can show proof of ownership.

Breaking and entering, trespassing are not "civil issues". If the two men did not have some documentation that gave some legitimacy as to why they were in the home, I'm quite sure the police official would have arrested them. He said it was a "civil issue"-no crime committed, thus no breaking and entering, nor trespassing. The two men claim to have legal documentation. They could have been scammed, or it could have been a bank error. Who knows?

Don't most/many states have Department of Housing Authority?
But, don't know..all..their capabilities to help.
Is/Are there anyone familiar with that?
have an answer.?
