Did anybody vote today?

I'm sure most SFers have voted early, but I just got back from the polling place. No lines, no muss, no fuss, no intimidation. A quick sweep of cable news shows no incidents to speak of. Could it be that all the talk about election-day violence and intimidation was just hype?

On the other hand, the day is far from over.

My husband and I went to vote and we saw a sea of cars, no where to park, and a line outside the building over 2 blocks long. My husband with his arthritic hips would never make it so we just went home. They changed and consolidated the polling places in my town with, in my opinion, disastrous results. Next time we'll just mail in our votes.

I voted by mail a couple of weeks ago and glad that I did. It’s raining today in this part of California and I wouldn’t want to be standing in line holding an umbrella. BTW the election department acknowledged receipt of my ballot by email.

I've been mailing my ballot in for a long time. It is a very convenient way to vote. All you have to remember is to send it in before the deadline. Sent mine in a few weeks ago. I sure hope someone I voted for wins!🤣

Depends on where you live

Did anyone here, in the US, not vote today? If not why not. Seems from the responses we are above average in voting.

That is too bad, are there not some kind of handicap accommodations for people like your husband?

Certainly should be...
