I saw the tweets Musk posted on a News channel that is probably not watched by most of the members who are trashing Musk.
And I saw samples of what was found. There's no denying now what's been found. But ABC and NBC have said nothing and will probably spin it if they do mention it...to minimize it's importance and move on quickly. CNN spent 3 minutes on it.

I now watch a little of all channels (after a long break) so I can decide for myself what is truthful.
It's bound to eventually hit all the news channels....unless they bury it...likely. No doubt they'll try.
And no doubt those who choose to watch propaganda will no doubt continue to hate Musk.

But no, I don't care to see old Twitter tweets that have been cherry picked to create a false narrative. I saw enough of that back in the day. It insults my intelligence. In the end, someone will get a little hand slap and the swamp will carry on because money rules....unless Musk has another plan with his own money and drive...likely.

I missed all of that. I know CNN is in financial straights, so maybe they will come clean. Who knows? I’m not talking about cherry picking tweets. I meant if the announcer makes an accusation that so and so tweeted this, then show the tweet. Some people will always be against someone who doesn’t agree with them.

Whatever comes out of all of this, I wish that all of this division and hate would stop. Most of us shouldn’t even care about politics because very few politicians care about us. They go with whatever the majority or the party leader wants them to do or how to vote. Very few politicians think for themselves or vote the way their constituents want them to vote. It’s plain nuts right now.

What Musk found was not in the form of tweets. It's in the form of requests made by those in high places including the "big guy" (can't mention because it would raise the politics flag) and by those who ran Twitter and complied with the requests. Requests to delete Tweets that exposed unwanted truths about those in high places.

Musk can now see the whole background "noise" of requests to hide truths from the people via emails, phone calls, and messages etc. I just saw this info for the first time last night on a show called "Hannity". And on CNN. It's only the beginning. Expect to see much more unless you only watch mainstream media who are paid to hide and spin the news reports that expose their "friend$" in high places.

Pepper...I don't get BBC that I know of.

Little by little, tweet by tweet Musk will reveal himself, and eventually all will know his mind. Of course, those blinded by adoration of Musk or by their own prejudices will find means to ignore the truth.

There has been an “unprecedented” spike in hate speech as well as a resurgence of ISIS-linked accounts, The New York Times detailed in an article published Friday, citing findings from the Center for Countering Digital Hate, the Anti-Defamation League and other groups studying online platforms.

Those who follow only the liberal agenda, are the very ones bringing this country to the drain. We should have a balance of liberal & conservative agenda supporting only one view will take us to our ugly end.

@ this point , I really have no dog in this fight, as I am 73, and have no children G/children to be concerned with as to what 'we' leave for them.
But regardless, I do not think those that are left behind will enjoy the same country I was able too.

...and who do you suppose is that angry to "spike hate speech" in Twitter? ...the very people supported by the dirty money of those in higher places, and those at the very top, to fill Twitter with propaganda. They just lost their most effective platform to control the people, their votes, and the country.

Think about it.
Musk is a fearless fighter to get in the middle of this to save his country and it's people from this mess we're all in.

That's funny coming from someone who is clearly blinded by hate for Musk... I don't see anyone on here or IRL that adores Musk. I can appreciate what he has done, and what he is doing, but that's a long way from adoration. I appreciate what Henry Ford did, but certainly am aware of some of his more egregious short comings.

And lets face it, several posters on here have already revealed themselves, and it ain't pretty...
 
BTW folks Macron met with Musk to inform him Twitter will have to follow EU rules for social media, which are stricter than US. Having had more direct contact with the Nazi's most European countries are loathe to give Fascists and neo-Nazis platforms to recruit new supporters.

But if you want an interesting perspective on the biases of various outlets--Search 'Macron tells Musk to comply with EU social media rules' Most outlets use 'tells' or 'asks' but Breitbart used 'demands' as if its unreasonable (yeah--try going to another country and breaking their laws), some other smaller ones i'm not very familiar with used words like 'warns'. Demand and Warn have different connotations (are more emotionally loaded) than ask/tell.

When someone accuses me of hating some public figure because I've criticized that person it is hard not to think that hate is an emotion my accuser is quick to feel so they assume others do too.

I agree with you. Kids of all colors enjoy playing in the new fallen snow. And lots of women of all races look good in the little basic black dress.

Not everything is about race. Or s****l preference. Or even if pineapple is a proper topping for pizza. .

I've seen that repeatedly, I believe that people of a certain ideology "think" on an emotional basis, and don't/can't/won't understand others who think rationally. Edit: I searched the forum for any post I made regarding "Musk", not one disparaging/ hateful word. So @feywon I believe you're right that haters assume that those opposing their views are haters as well.

I've been on Tribel since it was established under name 'Liker'. I had not been using it much due to trolls and not feeling i gave me any added value to other sites. I didn't even realize till i went into Tribel and was recognized from Liker sign up.

From the beginning of talks for Musk to buy Twitter people were looking for options. Once deal sealed and the hate speech increased the steady trickle.of Twitter.refugees became a flood. Of course some of less likeable types migrated too, hoping to 'own' the libs only o find themselves mostly ignored, blocked, and if really persistent in spewing hate reported.

People tend to believe that everyone thinks the same way they do. If you're honest, you tend to believe that most people are honest. If you're dishonest, you believe that everyone is just as bad. For the dishonest, it's a way for them to justify their disposition.

We all form opinions and ideas based on emotion, its human nature, instinct.

It is unnatural to challenge those beliefs with logic or science, takes work effort and good information. Fortunately humans are capable, and I believe we are the only species capable of acting against our instincts. However we can't do it all the time.

But we would be wise to remember the teaching of the great liberal political philosopher John Rawls: “It is extremely unwise to conceive of the ideal political society as moved by scarce supererogatory moral motives alone. That leads to hating other persons and taking pleasure in condemning them as falling short.”

Yes, and the ideologically slanted media understands that and plays into emotions and attitudes, which is why logic and rational thought are important as tools to guard against manipulation.

10 years is a long time! Are you positive he was a Neo-Nazi? Haters tend to label well intentioned people with character-assasination type names on social media...no? Is he still a Neo-Nazi? Maybe he found Jesus ;) Forgiveness is a beautiful thing 🌹
