Retired 8.88 years ago

I'm married and the two kids have been out on their own a good while. Retired at age 54. I like to poke around with investment strategies and associated calculations, with travel, with programming, and with other random stuff. I live in NC and probably will die here too (the wife won't hear of moving, but doesn't stop me from mentioning what's become an acronym: "MTF" - Move to Florida).

I like it! I too would move back except for my wife's preferences. Lived in Florida more than anywhere in life, I miss it.

Welcome! Since you have retired early, you might want to check out the Early retirement forum website, early-retirement.org. It has a great deal of informtion you might find useful. Most of the folks there have retired early like you.
