Which books from your childhood have you never forgotten ?

Alexandre Dumas - The Count of Monte Cristo (favourite all time book)
I read anything I could find by Edgar Rice Burroughs and Max Brand. My Grandfather was an avid reader and we shared everything as soon as I could read.

I don't remember the name, but it was a story about gifted people who lived in a small town; never left it and were buried having never reached their full potential because of it.

A copy of "Penthouse" I found at a friend's house when I was around 9. His father thought he hid it well enough.
My friend & I studied it thoroughly....for educational purposes, of course. :giggle:
... of course ...
