Award yourself a CDM

Time for the New Year's honours list to be announced in the UK with the usual mix of entertainers, sports people etc.. being given all sorts of awards and everyone else wondering what they did to deserve them.
Back in 1965, Cadbury chocolate ran an advertising campaign - "Award yourself a CDM". This stood for "Cadbury Dairy Milk" - a popular chocolate bar in the UK. The adverts were all along the line of ..."Been put on hold for two hours trying to talk to customer service? - Award yourself a CDM".

You wouldn't want to award yourself a CDM now..since Kraft took it over and changed the recipe... it's disgusting!!
Awhile back I heard the bars in the UK and those in US are different.. but the ones I've been buying here are good.

I just checked the label on the last one I have, and it's made by the Hershey Co. in Hershey, PA.

@Capt Lightning I would like to nominate myself for a CDM for my services to shopping. If I receive this prestigous award, I would like to thank the chap and my bank manager for their support :) 🄳

Me too. I believe Lindt does not use palm oil in their products.
these are my fave , I've got a box of these in the fridge

I like Lindt, but mainly buy Ritter Sport, especially 'Goldschatz' (golden treasure) when Lidl has it in stock.
My mum likes the Ritter Sport marzipan or the almond one. They do not use palm oil in their chocolate but the fillings might contained a small amount. Mum's a chocoholic so I am a bit of an expert on chocolate!
