What are you doing today 2023

I continued with cleaning and reorganizing our storage closet. And ya'll with ADD know how it is...you start one thing that reminds you of something else that needs doing and you find out that you can't do this without doing that first. Well that was happening all day. So I wound up rotating stock in other places to make room for a couple of items (one very important) that I was hiding in the hamper. I still have a small section to do...clean behind the large tote and take out something that's in there. I'll wait until Saturday when my son can help me. I also labeled the items in the closet so we know what's in what. At least now we have room to walk into the closet without obstructions, unlike before when we had to move stuff out to get all the way in there. Also everything is more easily accessible now. My son told me I did a good job. :D
I also Swiffered and mopped the kitchen and bathroom floors, as well as re-mopping in the closet.

Okay, now you got me, what have you got hiding in the hamper. I have hidden many things, but never in the hamper, must be mighty good. The only thing I have hidden in the secret area of the closet was chocolate covered cherries or my son would eat them all. Is it just a treat for you, no, I think it is a special present for your son!!

Cooking dinner at this late hour. Making Lazy Man's Stuffed Cabbage 🥬. I'll have it for 3 days.

Taking antibiotics for the UTI. 5 and a half more days of them. Pharmacist told me to drink plenty of water or I'll get a kidney stone. After I got home I was wondering just how much water to drink. I'm drinking plenty I think.

Living at this apartment place is getting on my nerves. People can hear practically everything I do. So I'm really quiet.

Oh, the cooking when you live alone. I am learning to freeze left overs if I don't want the same thing for multiple days. At least then, we can pull something out of the freezer when we don't want to cook. I have actually found I like that pretty well.

Funny thing, I went to the doctor for the rest of my physical, follow up on blood work. She noted that my urine test came back negative- showing bacteria. I have not had any symptoms of a bladder infection. That day, I could not give a good sample as the bladder was not full. She marked it down to that or not a good enough clean catch, I did the normal thing for a clean catch. She just said to let her know if a problem develops as I said I did not believe antibiotics were needed.

I am glad that I am in a single family home at this point. I am sure I would drive the neighbors crazy in an apartment with 3 dogs and us being up during the nights. I am vacuuming, doing laundry, cooking etc at all hours. The dogs are barking, playing, we are causing quite a party. I must admit I would like less space, less to clean etc. Even if I sold this home, there are not that many smaller ones I like in the same area. Guess I should go knock on the door of our first home and ask if they are looking to sell. I could be very happy there again.

Today was the MRI for the neck, should have reports in a couple of days. I also went to the GP yesterday to go over my blood work. As I suspected, my A1C, was high again. At this point, she has decided to put me metformin to help in addition to diet changes and excersise. I won't lie, the last 18 months have been hard, I quit smoking so have been not good with my diet. I also had slacked off on exercise because of the hip replacement.

I need to get to back to walking like I used to. I just can't due the distance I could before the hip replacement. I can only do about 1/2 mile now. Guess I need to do that a few times a day.

Last thing, the lab forgot to run my thyroid test so I had to have another blood draw. They said I won't be charged for the draw, only for the test. That is good but I hate to have the blood drawn. I will also say they have a new tech, I did not feel a thing, I mean nothing! I will ask for her from now on.
Congratulations on quitting smoking!

I started walking also and at first I thought I could not do as much as I did. Now I am doing 7 times that far. I figured every little bit counts.

Put some music on so that is all they can hear.

I don't think I should ever write what I am going to be doing here until I actually do it. Instead of what I am doing today, it will be what I did today. I plan to do things and never get to them. I know though I will be doing more laundry in my bathroom by hand because I cannot go to the laundry room. And I will be cooking........I do that every day. Coffee for now.

I know you have been walking, good for you, I have yet to start. I hope to get more walking in as well. Like you, every little bit counts.

@katlupe I get it! The day usually starts off with good intentions...

This morning off to the imaging center for whatever it is they're either looking for or ruling out.

After that, DD and I need to leave her car with the mechanic. Let's hope it's a minor problem that can get taken care of right away.

Then DS and his husband are coming for lunch.

Whew. That pretty much takes care of most of the day. Back to work tomorrow.

well, GeeGee you were looking for something to stave off the Boredom, looks like you've got it... :D

It's sunny here today finally.. very strong winds tho'.. I was going to go out but my back isn't ready for driving, which is a shame.:(

I have got the washing in the machine, and that'll be done soon, and I'll get it in the dryer.
Can't do too much yet due to the painful back, but I did get the kitchen all cleaned this morning, and Vacc'd with the cordless vac, not the Heavy Miele...

I've just got off the phone from the hospital who've made an appointment for me for an MRI at the beginning of February..

I really get ants in my pants when the sun is out.. and even tho' I know it will cause me pain to drive, I'm still itching to go out...

I'm glad I saw your question Blessed because you didn't hit the Reply feature on my post which would have alerted me that you replied to my post. I don't read every reply in this thread, instead just glance over some of them and I wouldn't want you to think I was avoiding your question. :) Anyway...the bathroom hamper was used for storage, not dirty laundry. My laundry goes in these bags, sorted by darks, whites, light clothes and large blankets, comforters. Sorting as I go is just easier. I will send you a private message with the answer as to what important thing I was hiding in the hamper. :geek:

Well I just got to know where things were but the less used and/or harder to reach items were listed in my Where is it located note and I had taken pictures of labeled boxes showing where things were. You couldn't see up top too well but the boxes up there are also labeled. Now, believe it or not, it will be real easy to find what I'm looking for...so much easier than before.

Good morning to all.....Its cold here today...36 degree.
I went shopping yesterday, went to Costco and Walmart about an hour away...nice drive listening to music and just being out.
Oh...Walmart and Costco...that's shopping heaven! I'm able to do that occasionally and I get somewhat excited when we're heading out. I even have a Walmart song. :D But I don't do both often because I hate the way the Costco (that's right across the parking lot from one of the Walmarts) is laid out. It's not like any of the other Costcos we've been to and it's very confusing. All of the Costcos and Walmarts we go to are between 10 and 20 minutes away.

Yes, both stores in one day....after getting everything put away, I had to lay down for an hour or so.
I had to wait for 20 min for a scooter at Costco...the door lady said they only had four for the store, three were out for repair! Then the one I finally got did not work very well.....bummer.

Didn’t do any sNOw shovelling yesterday…..really never warmed up……maybe today……the guys are looking for the full circle rip, without having to stop and turn around.
So…..went through my baking pans, cookie sheets, etc.
Started on my cross stitch inventory…..basically….doing what I want to keep, and what goes to friends…..no selling.
Did some sewing.

Today…..I have no idea…..other than the usual cleaning chores……maybe some sewing.

A Walmart song, @OneEyedDiva ? I need one of those but to make it more bearable… “I hear no screaming children, don’t see 12,000 brands of soap but not the one I want…. Soft music plays on the PA, the self check out works, and I found what I wanted on sale”. Ok I won’t get any songwriting awards, but that would be nice to have *that* Walmart gift experience 😄

The attempted ride home was so horrible I have chest pain & headache from it. They FINALLY had to call an Uber for me. The uber driver was such a lovely person. My Buffy was so upset about being left alone so long she gave me a gift of a lump of poop on the floor. No accident, deliberate. Bad Buffy, Bad! 😼

My chest really hurts. This drama is getting to be too much for me. I barely feel safe outside the home anymore if I'm not with my son. I'm not having a heart attack, I don't think. The experience just weakens me. Being home is synonymous with being safe for me. I have to do better if I want to visit my grandson and I do.
I'm so sorry this is happening to you Pepper! At least your Uber ride was pleasant...mine usually are too. I did read or see (I watch Jackson Galaxy videos) that cats will sometimes exhibit behavioral problems when they experience trauma. It may be in the form of going outside of the litter box. How dare you be gone so long! 😾 Buffy was too through with you!

I hope you don't have those cardiac and headache episodes again. 🤗

Once I get in the car I just raise my arms (do an arm dance) and sing "Yay, we're going to Walmart..Yay, we're going to Walmart! 🎶🎵 😄 We usually go when there's not too many people. I don't think I've ever encountered screaming children. It's your song...go for it..own it. 😍
