Common Popular Foods You Detest?

Chocolate, I truly don't get the appeal. What makes it even worse is people who think it needs to be added to everything. Nothing ruins an oatmeal and raisin cookie more than adding chocolate chips, same for cheesecake, keep out the chocolate. And don't get me started on coating fruit with chocolate, just yuck.

Pumpkin pie, but more because as a kid I once got very sick after eating a lot of it, didn't have anything to do with the pie, but the memory is well engrained.

One of my favorite veggies. I like it most any way, used to grow it in the garden and I ate it as I picked it. Good stuff.

I like all of the things mentioned here, but haven't tried the vomit flavored peanut butter or fried gym socks yet.
I'd like to bet you've eaten that vomit flavoured Peanut butter on many occasions..

Ocra/okra isn't common on the east coast. I've had it down south and, it's a no from me. Both spellings are correct, although ocra is unacceptable as a scrabble word, lol. Spell check doesn't like it either. I love grits and everything else people have mentioned that they don't like on this thread. 🙃

The thing I really dislike is cilantro. 🤪 Raw it's horrible but cooked it's a little better. Still, I'll pass.

I'm not a fan of fish. I don't mind blackened salmon at a restaurant, but I avoid the fish section at the store. When I was younger I'd eat fish if it was breaded and fried (and didn't have bones), but it seems kind of icky to me now.

Speaking for all Americans, not even the cheapest peanut butter smells or tastes like vomit to us. Cheap p'nut butter is usually either sweeter or saltier than the quality stuff, but otherwise it's all just pulverized peanuts and oil.

I'm not saying it can't smell like vomit to you, tho. If you say it does, it does, for sure.

Salmon, don't know why but no, no, no. I made it a lot for my husband. The son loves it. The only way I would eat is fried salmon patties my Mom made when we were kids. I like other fish but I am a no on raw oysters, mussels (to be honest I have not eaten one) but I have cooked them for hubs and son. Clams are canned only used in recipes, so I can't say, might love them fresh, just have not tried them. I try everything but if I don't like it, I don't like it. Once upon a time there were vegetables that I would not eat. Then I learned about cooking options, roasting veggies, that changed everything.
